BOI, TOI etc all are private entities and dance to the tunes of their masters. These trade analysts and distributors are the real players and there's no way the common public can ever get to know the real figures.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Why else does BOI keep changing their figures?

not saying whether people will accept the subject or not...even if Sholay becomes a ATBB or highest grosser if made and released today it won't achieve those footfalls like it had then due to internet,piracy...

Now its next to impossbile to match footfalls what Sholay, HAHK, MPK and Gadar had back then. Piracy and Internet has brought down the numbers of footfalls. So the last movie to have an incredible footfalls will be Gadar only. These 4 filams are the biggest hit in terms of both footfalls and collections if adjusted to inflation.
