Is Salman Khan upset with his father Salim Khan?

Salman Khans passion to promote Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty is really inspiring. You would think it is because he was a star kid too and he got the help of his influential father Salim who is Indian Cinema's one of the noted scriptwriters. Well, you are gravely wrong. By his own admission, the actor revealed that his father never stepped up for him when he was starting out as an actor!

Salman Khan is a self made man despite being from a filmi family that's because his father never recommended his name to any producer. Talking to a daily, he said that Salim Khan would recommend Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt or Kumar Gaurav's names to producers but never his. When he asked his father for the reason, he was told that all these producers who come to him never ask him for his son. They should see it in him for them to cast him. Salman rued that such a thing never happened to him and so, he went out looking for work.

Behind that awesome superstar lies a struggle that hardly anyone knows. He didn't get the advantage of being a star kid and makes us respect this man even more.
