Honestly speaking, the entire sequence of events is heartbreaking to put it mildly. The instability and uncertainity of lives has only been increasing and there seems to be no end to this misery. All the images that have been floating in the media of ISIS torturing the population are disturbing at an extreme level. So many people losing their lives ,living in constant fear, craving for basic necessaties, fleeing from their own land. All a result of what! Don't know what kind of punishment will be enough for these bas***ds who have been perpetuating so much violence and inflicting so much torture upon innocent souls.

My heart goes out for the little kid and so many other lives that have stopped breathing!

Why don't they go to Saudi, Oman, Qatar or UA.E, why west? What the heck are they looking for in Europe

Who the eff wants to go to Saudi?

And besides, many of these European countries (Germany/Austria/Sweden etc) have opened their doors for these people...just yesterday on BBC, David Cameron said that the UK is willing to accept thousands of other Syrian Refugees.
Don't think the same gesture was offered by the Oman/Quatar etc..(Correct me if I'm wrong).

I can't even comment on that poor child because there are no words to say. And Abhay Deol, what a well written statement. He is spot on.

I've been paying attention mostly through Angelina. I love following what she does because I learn so much through her travels as a Special Envoy for UNHCR.

She's made several trips over the last few years to visit with Syrian refugees in their camps to highlight the challenges they are facing. Earlier this year, she sat down in front of the UN Security Council and criticized them for their lack of action and complacency.

This is some of what she said in her speech from April 2015. The whole speech is worth watching.

[Quote]"We are failing to save lives in Syria," Jolie said, adding that Syrians have been tortured, starved and bombed "with impunity."

She shared some of the harrowing stories of Syrian refugees she heard on her visits to refugee camps in the region: an 11-year-old girl in a Lebanon camp who is responsible for feeding her five orphaned siblings; a doctor from Aleppo who watched his wife and 3-year-old daughter drown in the Mediterranean as they tried to flee the conflict.

"It is sickening to see thousands of people drowning on the doorstep of the world's wealthiest continent," Jolie said, referring to the spike in migrants from Africa and the Middle East who drown when overcrowded boats sink in an attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea and reach Europe. More than 1,300 migrants have died in the Mediterranean over the past three weeks.

"The Security Council has powers to address these threats to international peace and security - but those powers lie unused. The UN has adopted the Responsibility to Protect concept, saying that when a State cannot protect its people the international community will not stand by - but we are standing by, in Syria. The problem is not lack of information - we know in excruciating detail what is happening in Yarmouk, in Aleppo and in Homs. The problem is lack of political will. We cannot look at Syria, and the evil that has arisen from the ashes of indecision, and think this is not the lowest point in the world's inability to protect and defend the innocent.

It is very encouraging to see ministerial representation from Jordan, Spain and Malaysia here today. But I think we would all like to see the Foreign Ministers of all the Security Council Members here, working on a political solution for Syria as a matter of urgency.

In the last few months we have seen intensive diplomacy at work elsewhere in the region: so now let us see what is possible for the people of Syria.

And while these debates are important, I also urge the Security Council to visit Syrian refugees, to see first hand their suffering and the impact it is having on the region. Those refugees cannot come to this Council, so please, will you go to them."

This is the reason I've a soft spot for Abhay. He talks about things. He cares and it shows. In fact more so than SRK this man makes a lot more sense.

I do not feel bad for Syrians. Instead of assimilating the issues in their own country, they are coming to Europe for the free benefits. In Hungry, the police gave food and water and guess what they did?

Here's how awful these Syrians are:

I feel bad for Europe. Their culture will be eradicated and will turn into Middle East. Look at England, paying the price right now. Why not stay in Turkey - where they were originally stay... instead they want to come to Europe and make it more Islamic. Islam is one religion that does not allow "western" culture to be acceptable. I feel terrible for women and homosexuals in Europe. As they say now, Muslims are cowards. Most of the migrants are men. They can't even fight for their own country let alone trying to accept another culture. They are bunch of moochers.

Syria, Libya, Irak were way more civilized, educated countries until Israel, US, Europe started meddling in their politics. When the British colonized India, what happened at the end ? A new country was born and many Indians immigrated to England. Who's fault was there ? I request you to learn about the political situations in those country before commenting and blaming a religion.
And if you really have the guts to do it next time use your first account instead of hiding yourself with a new one.

Some people havent lost their humanity. Kudos to Germans and Austrians for this:
