Saif's senseless blanket statement on a whole country definitely contributed...

Anyways..that said, the movie is good...Kabir Khan once again hit the jackpot with a good movie...

I mean come on, I'm also a big Kabir Khan admirer but I'm sure most people living India are not like us IF members who are well informed of every director, every piece of news/gossip/controversies. The general population of India either goes to watch a film to see their favourite star in it or goes to watch it if it's a big established banner like someone mentioned (YashRaj/Dharma).

Everyone kept praying and dreaming for Phantom to be doomed for Katrina doesn't have the same pull anymore. Bwahahhaha. She came and proved them all wrong. I am more of a Kabir Khan fan, but even I have to give her the credit. She still got the same BO pull even after being the expressionless statue...😆

As for the poll result, again not surprising given so many love to undermine her... ;)

As I kept saying she's got the most pull in BW amongst the actresses even now.

TBH I didnt care for the film...but maa kasam nothing like a common enemy to evoke patriotism. So now I am all for this film. Anyways since I was least interested in this film I have no clue why it opened decently. I guess a combination of all factors from Katrina to Kabir to Saif to the subject as well the smart promotions.

arrey you have not read all my posts,since last night..I have been posting Saif's openings.I am trying to make exactly the same point.Saif had 3 flops ..so? does that define his career of two decades.DP had five and she signed the biggest films during that time.

I was pointing out that a film like Mary Kom with no known actor and no hotshot director opened bigger than Phantom on 2000 screens (BOI.com) THAT is an achievement.Kabir just delivered a film that has the biggest footfalls in recent history..he makes films over and over again on the same subject.

Twitter should be abuzz with DP tweets when the films release.The who is who should be praising her.Critics must say that this is her best yet BAS,that is all what I look for...rewards will come months later.

Numbers DONT impress me.I have said many times..RK must be outstanding in BV..numbers dont matter.

I like to have a little fun arguing once in a while.Nothing gives me a bigger high than praise for a performance.

And if RK fans believe that,,start promoting Tamasha..bedhadak .it is irritating to see RK fans in two minds.I keep provoking them LOL .This film is important to RK..fans must keep aside their differences and concentrate on the target.
