i think now its fair to compare sid and varun because brothers just released
who is better actor and who has bright future

Sid underacts and Varun overacts 😆 I don think Sid is as bad as he is made out to be..Nor is Varun as good as he is made out to be..I liked Sid in HTP and loved Varun in ABCD2 so am not too sure 😆I think they both have a long way to go before they can be called great actors..Sid needs to be more expressive and while Varun really needs to tone it down a little esp. in emotional scenes..So yeah, to answer your question, they both have flaws and i wouldn't call either of them brilliant actors 😆

Varun was overacting even in the campus shoes ad playing before the film

Sidharth's lack of emotion in the beginning... I thought it was a horror film mixed with Shefali 😆

hahhaaa... for most of people on this forum its like "Is this even a question..."

for me... who is following both since SOTY days...
Sid is Under-rated actor and VD is Over-rated actor/dancer...

Sid has gotten a harsh luck in terms he most of th times fetch roles with less screen/acting space...

in EV and Brothers... both characters were similar in terms that both had less space/need for dialogues... both had to just radiate anger.. in Brothers he succeeded to emote but this forum was never fair to him,.. so why to expect now...😉😆

varun was overacting in MTH
but loved him in badlapur . He dint overact at all
sid was good in HTP .yet to see brothers

most are trashing screenplay and weak direction,.. if few dice Sid's acting too.. then whats th big deal??
everyone comes up with some trashing reason when a movie underperforms...🤔
All Sid fans admit acting aint his forte..ps he usually gets role with less acting margin..
he is working hard and that makes em stand out of newcomers for US...😳

Varun, his Badlapur performance itself took him ahead of his contemporaries. That's not to say he's perfect, he still has to grow but I do believe he's better at the moment.

We all have our personal biases but apart from this forum I havn't seen that much criticism for Varun's 'overacting', he's mostly gotten good reviews. Even the critics this time have accused Sid of being wooden and expressionless.

And personally it's my opinion that screenplay, characterisation, length of role etc shouldn't be blamed for weak performances. A good enough actor will be able to rise above that, there's a reason Shahid has been able to sustain himself despite doing some god awful films that tanked at the box office and actors like John Abraham fizzled despite having a certain amount of box office success.
