How much we take our freedom for granted!
I was watching "The Legend of Bhagat Singh" the other day and I was literally seething with anger to see how we were treated by the Britishers. How much these freedom fighters and our ancestors fought for this freedom that we now enjoy. Thank you & Jai Hind!

And what angers me that how Gandhis took the whole credit ... Be it currency , be it airports, bridges , universities , institute etc , all are named after Gandhis ...forget mahatama Gandhi but Indira and Rajeev Gandhi are also ruling

And to think I just saw someone complain on social media about all the barricades in Delhi finishing their status with 'What kind of independence is this?'. There are times I feel ashamed of some in my generation. I have been meaning to watch this film ever since you posted it but something kept putting it off. Tfs!

Very true and very sad. And the sad fact is that Indira, Rajiv etc have nothing to do with Mahatma Gandhi. They are just ordinary politicians who are simply benefitting from the "Gandhi" name.

Also sad is the fact that history books at schools are filled with literature on Gandhi, Nehru etc providing detailed accounts on everything that they did (which is good, no doubt), but just one-pagers on the other great freedom fighters such as Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad etc. Atleast that was the case when I was in school.

As it is, owing to British rule, so much of our vedic literature has been falsified and manipulated. This is why the general public now, have been robbed and cheated of the real glory and history of our vedic culture. 😭

Apart from the atrocities that the British imparted on us, they have ruined and messed up with our history and it saddens and pains me a lot 🤢

My blood boils every time I visit the British Museum in London. Bloody thieves.

ANd the likes of aholes like Suhel Seth says he's thankful that the British invaded India because we got railways. Like seriously, everyone knows they made railways to loot India. Where were the railways when they were starving people in Bengal, Andhra etc?

Created fake famines to deceitfully take Indians as slaves/indentured labour to Trinidad, Fiji, Mauritius.
It was the British who created brothels like SOnagachi for their troops. And today nobody talks about when it came into being and they make documentaries about the pathetic conditions there.

This is because they are still ruling us by proxy by always creating more divides through gender, religion, caste, creed, region.
commies were selected to write our history books like Romila Thapar, Irfan Habib etc.

The British stole our priceless vedas and injected poison and falsehoods into the remaining ones with the connivance of the Chitpavan Brahmins who are brahmins only in name. Pretty much all the history we learn at school is fake.
Gandhi was working for the Britishers. there is not doubt about that.

As you pointed out, British did introduce railways, telegraphs, posts etc for their own benefit. Ofcourse these have proven to be pretty useful for our country, but to say that without the British we wouldnt have eventually done the same is ridiculous! There are many countries, which where not under British rule, which have built railways. What's wrong with the likes of Suhel Seth?

If they introduced education, it is because it would allow them to get officials with less expenditure as they would then not have to import them from Britain. They also wanted Indians to become "Englishmen by taste" and detest anything that's Indian. So no, they didn't do these things for the betterment of Indians but only to serve their own wicked purposes!

The slaughter at Jallianwala Bagh, denying salt which therefore resulted in large number of deaths & diseases, levying huge taxes, keeping people undernourished so that they cannot fight off diseases and all the while looting our country and its rich heritage/culture, the events that led to Sepoy Mutiny etc...these are just but a few crimes against India by the then Britishers!

Right now, in this free nation, many years later too if even talking about these events can make me so angry and mad, I cannot even fathom what our ancestors felt like.

So much, so much was done by them because of which we lead this beautiful, comfortable life that we now have.

Words fail me when I try to express what I feel when I think about all those who laid their lives for the freedom of our country. I just have a deep-felt gratitude for them.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY once again!
