But this is not Unicef. Besides Being Human is neither manufacturing nor selling merchandise. They are just receiving money out of selling their licence and getting a royalty share out of mandhana industries profit. That is 100% gain. Because Being Human didn;t have to spend a single penny in production nor distribution of the merchandise. Mandhana industry did. But they receive a share of the profit.

The site does mention the royalty money goes into supporting education and healthcare initiatives of the foundation.

So one should just assume they might get tax coz they are asking pan no. 😆 i m not sure about Indian banking system but it might be something to do for depositing money

Its UNICEF USA market site, its part of Unicefusa. People are not buying mandhana industry product, they are buying charity merchandise assuming 100% donation would go toward charity. Being human is making 3% for licensing so that's good but here people are fooled because their money is not used 100% for the charity. the site has no info in bold or atleast people are not aware of such thing. Were u knowing about 3% scheme before it was highlighted here ?

Buying and selling of products is not equivalent to 100% donation. A part of your money goes into donation. Rest are done to cover cost of making the product.When the site clearly mentions that the foundation only has a share of royalty in the sales of products then its not really a hidden information.

And no, people are buying a brand name Being Human hoping a part of their money will go into the charity as it is mentioned in the site. Nobody thinks that Being Human is a manufacturing unit producing those clothes.Mandhana industries name is also mentioned at the site so even that information is available about whose business this is.

Being human is more of a fashion statement than charity. Celebs wear those Ts and show them off to each other.

But I don't think this is entirely true thatmore than 90% of the money is eaten up and only 5% can be accounted for as charity
