Truly gave him the benefit of the doubt. If he is too busy to run it at least he should have a team working from 9 to 5

Went on their website. No news. Last entry was when the Nepal Earthquake happened and that was to announce that BEING HUMAN can not donate as it only works in India.

So I went to their facebook. Nothing either. Its just reposts of International days and promoting the campaign Prime Minister Modi Started

CLEAN up India.

The last update was in May 2015. That they had an outing with women to a medical clinic. No news about the donation to farmers that was released in a article during BB promotions.

If you run a charity it needs to work like any other business with Weekly updates. You should share with the public of what things the charity is involved in and how its making a difference.

Its not bragging. People want to hear that this Charity is actually achieving something.

So unprofessional.

They couldnt donate to Nepal...its just a shame how they take money in the name of charity...If someone buy $100 dollar shirt thinking $100 will go toward charity then its not the case. only $10 will go toward charity (that too nobody knows). I just hate this revenue model...charity ke naam pe dhoka de rahey hai... Instead of buying clothes in the name charity...people should donate same money to other charity where the money is exempted from tax and then money is used for genuine work

Exactly.

I am a keen supporter of charities and humanitarian work and one of the great things is you see news about how they are making an impact.

Barely nothing.

Agree that there is nothing clarity and accountability regarding the foundation. it is mostly used for PR build up may be also in tax exemption etc. Even used during the running duration of movie to promote the same. its a shock proof strategy which immune the brand salman from all those cases , on brand credibility , public perception etc.

Regarding $100 , its your buying price which is their (BH) selling price. The net profit will goes toward charity.

Net profit = sales/revenue -cost - operating expense - interest - tax

suppose in this case 10 dollar is the profit after deduction of cost and operating expenses, then that will goes towards charity .

Its just an interesting business proposition where buyers contribute in being human and all credit usurp by salman, salman as brand , and in movie promotion.

Don't think the official donation from the clothing line is even 10% of revenue, only <5% as per the textiles company Being Human has tie-up with. The CEO did a break-down in an interview earlier this year... He said they paid Salman 1.5cr for a 9-10-year license to use his name while paying the royalty to the foundation. Being Human has other tie-ups to get money from businesses like yatra.com..

Which means that if one buys a $100 shirt, less than $5 goes to Being Human foundation..
