And what were Aamir/Salman doing in that period? Same sh*t... Aamir started taking risks WAY later in his career after he became an established star (After 2000).

Salman can't even be compared to these two, this man literally has played the same type of roles in family entertainers his entire career. No versatility, no depth, same old family entertainers... Salman should easily win this poll.

More important question is: who played unsafe YET became successful?

1. Aamir. 3 idiots, TZP, dil chahta he, Lagaan, Gajni. SUPER HITS. enough said

2. SRK. Darr, Baazigar, DDLJ, Devdas, Chak De, MNIK, Swades

3. Salman: All his roles can be put in two groups: Sidha sadha nhola (BB, maine pya kiya, HDDCK) or Masala (Kick, Dabang, etc) Don't know of any film where he actually broke out of these two roles actually.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Dil Se, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Asoka, Paheli, Swades, KANK, CDI, MNIK are ALL films from 1995-2015 that were ABSOLUTELY unorthodox and a complete risk. This is coming from an unbiased viewer of B'wood. I'm not even a big fan of SRK but you cannot deny the risks he has taken throughout his career.

The common theme on most of those movies are romance.. Either he was dying for love or killing for love.. Different twist same crap romance..

I would say only swedes and cdi probably fit that different role.. But in a long 25 years career, only a handful movies.. That just shows how much he has cashed in from his king of romance persona..

Biased Sallu fan here... how were films like Swades, CDI and Don about love or romance whatsoever? You clearly have not seen any of these films...

When I watched these movies, I really did not think Swades or Chak De or Don were focused on romance. MNIK yes there was romance but there was also so much more. That role was unlike any other he did. Devdas yes was a romantic film but he acted superbly and it was another unique role.
