Okay so I am in this particular phase of watching movies from the nineties and early 2000s, somehow just somehow :P And despite cringing at many dialogues and songs, I just can't help but somehow still adore those younger Khans and characters which I loved when I wasn't so critical while watching moviesđ And deny it as I would, cheesy oh-so-nice-and-cute-and-sanskaari couples from nineties draw me into a world of much more simplicity..
One such couple I shipped really really hard was Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla *insert fangirlish silly grin here* And honestly, I still do, so much so that even seeing them together in 'Bhootnath' made me happy đ¤Ł
And I can't help but still gush about that absolutely adorable, cheesy and hilarious chemistry that they shared. I haven't seen a LOT of movies in which they have been together, but the ones I have, always make me smile real hard.
Phir bhi dil hai hindustani is one movie which I really like, because it suited the idealistic patriot in me :p And the subtle chemistry and moments between Shahrukh and Juhi really take the cake. It was not a mainstream commercial success and isn't remembered much but I still catch it on TV always. I like how Juhi's character is framed and her Ria Banerjee is as enterprising and competitive as Srk's Ajay. Koi zero yahaan, koi istaaar hai :'D
One two ka four is another movie which does it for me. The very idea of a hilarious undercover cop -Juhi posing as a Marathi household help and Shahrukh, the brooding I-hate-children-guy taking care of his late friend's children is well...very aptly cheesy for my liking xD And somehow, Juhi managed to do comedy without being over-the-top and adorable at once :) And yet again, they have this Chemistry which brings a smile. No jumping off trains or saving damsel in distress scenes make it better.
And finally 'Yes Boss' is much more known for poor old SRK trying to give up on his true love out of loyalty towards his idiotic Boss. This of course is more of a mainstream movie, all with evil villians, massively evil boss, a typical bollywood mother-of-the-hero and protagonists as good as gold. Even though it is predictable and quite typical, the movie has its sweet moments and a personal favourite ''Main koi aisa geet gaun" :D
Another one I watched recently was Raju ban gaya gentleman. Even though I was talking about Shahrukh-Juhi, I really should point out Nana Patekar's job in this movie. He was really, really good in this one, loved him absolutely!
So back to my shipping, Shahrukh Juhi are two actors I really liked together and had a comic timing which somehow made me fall for them and today I randomly felt like just going all fangirl on them đ
So just that. Would love to see if there are more shippers on board :)
