Juhi is amazing overall & will always be one of my favorite actress, esp for her memorable roles. Kajol can have the better career & highest grossers for all I care 😆

I think most people here are answering based on TM's question on one movie 'Ishq'.
I personally know many who have loved Juhi more in this movie. Its a popular opinion so why bring it down just cause you have different one. Most aren't even taking their personal life into consideration. Juhi has been very good with comedy and she had a better role than Kajol.
Yes career wise, Kajol gained more popularity but IMO in this movie Juhi completely overshadowed Kajol.

Juhi and Aamir were the best part of the movie.

Never liked Kajol as an actress always thought her to be one dimenional. Her crying scenes are the worst.

I took an offence because ppl here has been projecting kajol's personality as negative and trying to belittle her achievements by calling her jealous and overrated .. I think not appreciating one's achievements are one thing but mocking it is something else ..

And yes in this certain film Juhi might be better and that's no wrong but kajol has her own moments .. I don't think Juhi has overshadowed SRK in yes boss and even if she did what's the outcome ? She has been too undriven and lazy as an actress and mostly looked gorgeous whereas kajol has her career built on pure acting and central characters , be it a gupt, dushman, Ddlj and even her comebacks like fanaa ... But her contemporaries have failed in it, be it Juhi, manisha ..

And as far as HHRPK is concerned, Aamir had such a two bit role that it was not hard to overshadow him. I am surprised by the fact that every other month there is a topic about how Kajol shouldn't have won for MNIK, Fanna, K3G but there it has not been once mentioned how unfair was Juhi winning over Minakishi, Dimpleand Sridevi in a role that was nothing special and had trademark Juhi Chawala acting.

And people are calling Kajol one dimensional all the while praising an actress who has never even ventured out of her sweet, naive comedic shtick. 😆

I did let it go , but I was ensuring that I'm not dumb or blind to whine over a silly poll .. I just disliked how kajol is being mocked because even in comparison where does her offscreen behavior and life comes from ?

Anyways, yes boss is still a flop whereas kajol playing a stronger role to her male leads has still been hits, she was capable of carrying a film on her shoulders and yes she was also lucky as even irrespective of lacking gorgeous looks and the beauty quotient kajol tended to be the top choice for the film makers then ..

And kajol is at least more versatile than Juhi as I don't see juhi's filmography being anything exceptional .. From baazigaar's firstly Priya to simran of ddlj, the cunning aisha in gupt, Sonia in dushman, Ankali in Kkhh, Sanjana in pthht .. All these roles have been one dimensional ? I'm not even joking when I say it's outright hilarious .. And kajol's comic timing to is very good in pthht , she overshadowed Ajay there...


Kajol winning for fanaa was deserving while I thought Aish deserved the award for guzarish over kajol for MNIK ..

I know Rani was ignored by Kajol and the main Shashadhar Mukherjee family when she was an upcoming actress. But there is a reason for that...Rani is not her 1st cousin, like Ayan is...Rani is their 2nd cousin, Kajol and Rani's grandfathers were brothers. So there has always been a subtle competition between their families but not open enmity.

But still they all celebrate Bengali festivals together as a large family and have no problem in peronal life, maybe the 2 actresses have some competition in professional life.

On topic: I didnt like that movie Ishq at all, it was too melodramatic! But Juhi's spirited character was more interesting than Kajol's weepy one! Who likes rondu types, anyway 😆

The role didnt suit Kajol at all who usually played more spunky characters.
