Here's the deal - comedy just isn't Kajol's forte. She sucks at it and Juhi is at her natural best in comic roles. Ishq was a romantic comedy - not one of Juhi's contemporaries (except maybe Sridevi who was effin' amazing in Chaalbaaz) could have matched up to her. No one expects Kajol to outshine Juhi in a romantic comedy film and she totally pales in comparison to Juhi.

PS: Chaalbaaz was one of the most awesome comedy movies ever! 🤣

Unpopular opinion but I think Madhuri Dixit was par excellence in Khalnayak, Jamai Raja, Beta, Yaarana, Dil Tera Deewana. She was fantastic at comedy.

It's a shame Karisma Kapoor rejected this film (to do DTPH?)

Would love to see Kajol-Karisma together.

That scene at the end of Yeh Dillagi is not enough, in fact they were not even in the same frame together.

From the first 30 mins (which was the only bearable part of the movie) Juhi. She killed it, plus she had the better role anyway. It was Juhi and Aamir all the way.
