I did not enjoy at all, so much so I had to come and watch Big B Don again just to make myself stable!!!

Sorry, nothing against u even my mother enjoyed but none of my other family members did.

Oh...I loved DON!!! SRK was so good!! Manish obviously doesn't think so but I haven't seen the orignal DON, or I don't really have any distinct memory of it. The storytelling by Farhaan was bad but it was still entertaining.

Sorry to say, but I haven't watched it yet.

But as you say Manish, I really don't think I want to go see it now. I wouldn't want to ruin my mood by not getting as good as I expected the movie to be. Amit ji's Don was a great movie...still very much loved by my family and I! 👏

I LOVE the original Don, have seen it about 35 times and completely understand Manish's point - SRK as Don, not happening!! When AB was Don he kept a clear definition between Don and Vijay - SRK appears confused at times as to who he is supposed to be enacting at the time!! 😕

Having said that I think the story has been updated well - the stunts are on par with Hollywood, the music is excellent, the cinematography and special effects etc is also very good. 😊

Farhan Akhtar has made a big deal about how this film is different to the original because of the twists in it. On one hand the twists are very good in that even if you've seen the original you're bound to be surprised! On the other hand they detract from the simplicity of the original and the film gets bogged down and tends to drag... 😕

As for those who say it is a different production and therefore should not be compared all I can reply is that you cannot take a big chunk of the storyline, the names / costumes / personalities of the main characters, about 80% of the original dialogues AND music, and THEN expect people not to compare!! 😆

But I would still say watch the film, it's good escapist cinema and it's a fun couple of hours! 😃

Does anyone else think that the change in the ending just evidence how acceptability of society has changed over the decades...?

When the original was made Don dies and Vijay wins - plain and simple.

Don 2006 shows the simple and innocent Vijay dead within minutes and the irredeemably evil Don getting one up on the police and the righteous vengeful heroine, escaping into the sunset with his drugs and money...

The ending that works in 2006 would not have worked, i don't think, 30 years ago - perhaps indicative of the changing morality of society...? 😕

The new Don sucked. SRK should go back and learn acting. Can't believe that he dared to do two roles of Amitji that was played to perfection by the latter. SRK is SRK an actor with serious failings but who does not realize that it is one thing to accept the screen presence of Amitabh Bachchan for 3 hours at a stretch and another thing to watch SRK the self proclaimde King labour thorugh the movie, grunting and snarling as if he has just emerged from the prehistoric times. FArhan Akhtar sucks, SRK sucks and the movie Don2 sucks even more.

I like the original don😃👏 I'm not a big fan of srk but yes he was too good in don😳😃

Oh God, Ieven agree with Manish, DON for me was simply pathetic. Jaane-Man was much better. I have not seen the AB Don, but the SRK one was too much to take.

Ending was simply ridiculous! Don kabhi mar nahin sakta! So apparaently he wakes up, changes himself with Vijay and does all of those acts! The D'Silva and Vardaan thing also seemed stupid later on and the airplane stunt seemed too funny for words! As far as my knowledge of physics, I dont think it possible to have a convo in mid air without a parachute! Uff...

I feel the new Don is a complete Con!!! 😆 😡 😆

SRK really ovedid the role of Don...while He was too confused abt the role of Vijay. There was actuallu no difference between Don and Vijay...and he seemed so stressed at doing the roles...he was trying to do it soo much and overdid it all...whereas Amitji carried both roles with such eaSE!!! 👏

Amitji truly made it clear who was who...there was such difference between Don and Vijay...Don was menacing through silence {he didnt mutter around "I AM THE KING" but on the other hand, he would blow up people and say "I didnt like his shoes darling!!!" 😉 } and Vijay was sch a sweet chatterbox...he played the underworld Don and the Banarasi boy at the same time so well!!! 👏
In the original, each and every character was so well etched out and believe me, there were not any flaws at all...
AAkhir...Double role play karne ke liye...u need to be damn talented man!!! 👏 👏 👏

One expects more from Farhan Akhtar after films like Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshya, but Aakhir..DON IS DON!!! Farhan took tooo big a risk trying to remake it...Anyways...This is a very cheeky So called 'tribute' to the men behind the original film!!!

Also, the ending was tryly utrocious yaar😡...Don kabhi Marta nahiin...hahaha!!!😆😆😆...So wierd...Don dows die in the originall...But still...he keeps his word "DON KO PAKANDNA MUSHKIL HI NAHIIN...NAMUMKIN HAI"...The police dont catch him...he dies himself which really made me truly woe the character{n the man ofcourse!!!}😳

This film was in short "ALL STYLE WITH LITTLE SUBSTANCE"

The original was so real and exciting and the remake is all fantasy and dragging!!!🤢 If they were trying to impress all with the stylish locations and all.they really didnt make any effect on me...on the other hand,..it gave me such headache!!!🤢

Alos..They ruined the music too...the original had such superb songs...I listen to those all day...while SEL remixed Khaike and Ye mera Dil and ruined those truly superb songs!!!

The choreography too was 🤢...IN khaike..It is a streetboy dancing...whereas..SRK seemed as if he had pratised those steps and was giving a stage performance..while in the real Don...AB shakes his long legs😳 with such simplicity and loveliness!!!!

I know people may say we shouldnt compare...I tried my maximum not to...But I am human yaar...and Comparisons are Inevitable....

My view only 😳
