Red chillies announced the distribution too late,that too after selling the music rights.They should have made the grand announcement at the beginning itself.

Anyway RC was not asking for too much..150 worldwide..many medium films make that much..

Shah Rukh Khan wants Rs 150 crores plus profits share for the Worldwide Theatrical Distribution Rights for his next movie Dilwale which will release on Christmas 2015

SRK's production house Red Chillies has great expectations from DILWALE which is expected to be a Christmas release. It is expecting 150 crores plus a share in the profit for Rohit Shetty's DILWALE.

There are many studios vying for the rights of this prestigious film including Yash Raj Film, Fox Star Studios, Disney UTV films etc.

In case Red Chillies does not get the price they are expecting , they have already started negotiating with individual buyers of territories through which they are expecting to reach their price of 150 crore only for India and overseas.

I think for Internationals distributions they may tie with YRF

It is good that SRK can make more profit... but bad is that he needs to now fight with BIG Banners to get screens.

the min worldwide collections likely to be around 300cr

DS share in india min will be 100-125cr and and overseas 50-60cr

Hence Distributor has no risk they will recover all their money and if there is no profit SRK wont get anything

he can get his fees from satellite rights and music rights if he doesn't make enough profit in selling off the distribution rights in the first place
