That's not really an excuse. Even indie films can become superhits. That's like saying any different type of film with new content will always underperform. The Lunchbox was a superhit and it wasn't exactly mainstream.

Also I'm not denying that Deepika isn't a star and she doesn't do good movies. She is but I think Katrina is a bigger star than her.

There weren't many great things said about FF in terms of what the movie was actually about in reviews.

Why should the existence of ONE successful actor in it propel success for a movie that doesn't maybe deserve it?

Btw, I'm a big fan of Katrina too. I really do like her, and think she's a massively hard-working person. With that said, even I'd like to see her make a movie like Finding Fanny work, SANS item songs.
