Raanjhana,Omkara,Fanaa,Devdas & Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak

^These are the movies(i know) in which hero dies at the end.

Heros have died in many films... but the question is final battle, Villain survives and hero dies.

Also, they have to be conventional heros and villains, not much grey shades.

No suicide by hero

Hero n villa both dies.

Not real life life the movie gandhi, in which Nathuram guns down Gandhiji, Naturam wasnt even a villain till that point.

A fictional BW film.

Jai dies in the end, Gabbar is arrested and taken to jail, Thakur was going to kill Gabbar but police arrive on time to stop him. So the supervillain Gabbar lives while one of the main heros Jai dies.

Don is grey character more on brighter side than darker side. He doesnt kill kill innocent ppl or hero's family, doesnt rape any1 etc.. Its on par with the so- called villains of Dhoom series or so many many Amitabh's films where he is on the wrong side of the law.

No, fullfledged villain Vs perfect hero. final battle.. hero dies and villain walks- the end.

Its a tough one.
