As filmmakers add more and more remakes to the list, news has it that Rohit Shetty will be responsible for revisiting the Subhash Ghai 1989 film Ram Lakhan', and who does he have in mind to play a lead female? Non other than Kareena Kapoor Khan.
According to Pinkvilla, Shetty has approached the actress to play a part in the film. There had previously been reports that stated Kapoor Khan expressing her wishes to work with the award winning director again. If reports are to be believed, it seems her wishes may well come true.
Prior to this news, the leading daily reported the actress expressing, "All my life I want to be a part of Rohit's films. I felt so sad that this time I couldn't be a part of Rohit's film Dilwale' but there's always next time. I am proud to be a part of his films. I will always work within my commercial comfort zone for which I have been known for all these years. I am proud of that."
Shetty and Kapoor Khan have worked together a number of films including Singham Returns' (2014) and the Golmaal' franchise. Having shared a good rapport with each other, it seems that working together really works well for both director and actress. Here's hoping this film won't be another missed opportunity.
