I am sooo happy for Prabhas and the team. Reviewers are praising him and Ramya the most. I still hate Rana and wished he wasn't in the film 🤢

Seems like Tamanna was a waste again...girl cannot act PERIOD 😆

I only have tamil version with subtitles playing nearby, I wanted to see it in telugu but I guess I will have to suffice with this.

And i am myself a fan of masala and i don't diss the audience for loving it...u probably diss it more than me (always criticizing besharam😆).. DDD did ok business, i didn't diss the audience for making abcd2 a hit and DDD an average.

i am not here to argue.. i was just saying i am mightily pleased to see bahubali doing well...because later in year bajirao is coming and it needs this audience to go to theatres because a lot of effort has gone into it...and that will be seen by the opening of BM...overall business of course will be decided by the content... that's all 😉

Devdas did really well though..So did Jodha Akbar & Lagaan..Why do you think period films are not appreciated? 😕 Am sure BM will do well if its an entertaining & well packaged film..

@ bold- Really? 😆 So dissing Besharam means am dissing the genre as a whole? I criticize the film cos i think its a badly made film & Ranbir sucked in it..My opinion..I loved Wanted & i have actually enjoyed quite a few masala films down South so no dissing Besharam has nothing to do with me dissing the genre 😆

I know man..Am really happy for Prabhas too.He is a really good actor..Am actually looking forward to the second part a lot more cos Anushka is brilliant in period films..And Prabhas-Anu look a lot better than Prabhas-Tamanna IMO 😆

So happy for Team Bahubali.
Much deserved victory for hardwork done for almost three yrs.
What can I say abt this great man rajamouli. Simple man with great vision and choosing different subject for every movie. Nvr even a single film flopped to his credit. This man knows his craft so well.
I always love prabhas, tamanna and Anushka shetty. So so happy for thm. Rana did a grt job it seems. Not a fan of him.

Did you see it yet? How was his dialogue delivery? Prabhas has everything going for him except his dialogue delivery, he sucks at it badly...actually all telugu actors mostly suck at saying their dialogues properly baring NTR I guess.

Amen Darling and Sweety are the cutest pair ever 😳😆

Matlab you want him to keep delivering disasters so Ranveer can race ahead 😛

P.S. J/k..Lets just agree to disagree 😆

Nope haven't seen it yet..Its Housefull everywhere 😆 He is getting great reviews though..I think he is the best looking actor in the Telugu film industry..And Anushka toh is fabulous in period roles..I still don get why Rajamouli chose Tamanna..She is a good dancer but she is a very average actress..Reason why i cant wait for the second part..Anushka will probably overshadow Prabhas though given how she nails these kinda roles 😆

may be it's time you worry more about Varun than Ranveer if i should say 😆... i don't give a f**k about who goes ahead...
if the sentence was not a joke, i must admit your view is pathetic...i would never wish any actor to flop so that any other actor can go ahead... may it's your school of philosophy 😊

Another thing what was the highest grossing south movie before this?? And how much is the norm for a biggie there?? Also what were the trade expectations??

These aspects will help putting these numbers into perceptive.

For starters there is no film industry in India that can challenge Telugu film industry on that score

On the number, Telugu films usually don't refer to NETT like Hindi films do, they go by the what counts ultimately SHARE - So for Baahubali you can get territorial break down for entire AP and further town wise break down for all territories, if one is interested they can go further down the chain to theater wise too.

Not just these final numbers you also have a clear idea on how much the film has been sold to (Distribution Price) territory wise. If there are any hires, Share Guarantees (SG's) or Minimum Guarantees (MG's) taken for particular town, theater or group of theaters. These are the things that we never near on Bollywood movie front but these are the numbers that determine whether a film is hit/superhit or blockbuster - its the return of investment (collections) against the selling price (Distribution price)

So in AP alone Baahubali on day 1 is going to collect approximately 24 Cr SHARE (HNY Day 1 share would be around 25 Cr for a Nett of 38/39 Cr). Add Karnataka and Rest of India to it, Day 1 surpasses HNY by good margin. Previous highest in Telugu was Atharintiki Daredi, a Pawan Kalyan starrer. It collected 10.75 Cr on first day. Until yesterday it remained the top for nearly 2 years. Day 1 numbers usually are huge for bigger Telugu films because they have huge hires/sg's and mg's figures added to it on first day.

Coming to entire South India which brings Rajini and director Shankar into play (they get to enjoy combined benefits of Telugu and Tamil film industry) - Enthiran aka Robo is the biggest grosser of all time. In terms of SHARE (Telugu+Tamil) its equal to Dhoom 3. Top 5 films are Enthiran, Magadheera, I, Atharintiki Daredi, Thuppaki.
