Synopsis: ABCD 2 is a dance based movie directed by the leading choreographer in our country, Remo D'Souza who had made us sit up and take notice of the movie ABCD - Anybody can Dance! The director has in this movie moved out of India to Las Vegas, where majority of the events happen. The film is about Suresh played by a very earnest Varun Dhawan who leads a dance troupe of poor young boys from the local suburbs in Mumbai. His love Vinnie played by Shraddha is also a dancer in the same troupe. This troupe goes to Las Vegas to perform in an international hip-hop dance competition. Varun is inspired by his guru, Vishnu Sir, played by Prabhu Dheva. But, just as things were seemingly going right, suddenly due to some turn of events, the troupe gets ousted from the competition. Their allegiance to Vishnu Sir only adds on to the trouble and he leaves them. What does Suresh do to get the team back on shape and bring it back high on International platform? Told to be inspired by real life events, the movie is as heartwarming as ABCD that had the story of how two bosom friends get separated and then rejoined due to dance.

Performances: Varun Dhawan is a right choice and so is Shraddha Kapoor and the rest of the young boys and girls who are in the cast as the dance troupe. Many are a part of real life professional dancers of hip-hop and this can be seen from their dancing skills. Varun speaks with his eyes and Shraddha is amazing. We can see Prabhu Dheva reprise the role that he simply seems to have carried off from the prequel effortlessly and kudos to that!

Analysis: The film is a good sequel - one that will remind you of the prequel and even if you have not watched the prequel, you will be able to go through the turmoil that this dance team of wannabe international hip hop dancers from suburban Mumbai goes through. It is about a dance team that participates in an international dancing event, only to be ousted for cheating. However, the team's leader Suresh played by Varun must get back their inspiration from Vishnu Sir who is a tainted man and get back to shape. The best thing about ABCD 2 is it has its heart in right place.

Director Remo D'Souza knows his art and he has just shown it right by choosing the right cast! So full points for that! But one place where the movie falls short is screenplay and story. Very predictable plot makes the movie a yawnathon for the people who do not have much of love for dance alone. Songs are already doing well in the top ten lists. Songs like Sun Sathiya Mahiya, and the reprise of Bezubaan, the Mohit Chauhan classic from the previous ABCD will make sure that you stay back and watch the movie fully.
