The main issue here is the fact that when Indira Gandhi died some people had a main role in instigating violence against Sikhs for vengeance. What did innocent people do, to warrant this? I'm a Hindu & I lived in Punjab during the time, and even I stand against the violence. Not only were the sikhs affected so was every single person living in Punjab. My mother still tells me how she used to fear for my father's life every time he had to go to work. The speeches and the action led to one of the worst incidents of communal violence that affected everyone who lived in Punjab.

Indira made tactical errors. Many books are still written about that.
