Rajkumar Hirani: R Madhavan is one of the most wonderful actors we have

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has lauded R. Madhavan's performance in 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'.

The director, who worked with Madhavan during 3 Idiots, feels that Madhavan is one of the most underrated actors.

"Madhavan is one of the most wonderful actors we have. I am happy that he is getting his share of praise. To match up the performance of a fabulous actor like Kangana (Ranaut), in a role that had to be so subdued, it is highly commendable," Hirani said in a statement.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns, directed by Anand L. Rai, has been winning hearts of many since its release last week.

I agree..He is so darn underrated..He plays both chocolate boy roles & intense characters with equal elan..

He is very popular as a chocolate boy roles in Tamil industry...guess did some 5 Mani Ratnam movies...

This. SO true! I love this guy. Have seen his Tamil movies as well and he's such a fab performer. He's one of the most underrated actors. He's lovely. I loved him in RHTDM.

Yes he is an amazing actor , I think he was in a TV show called "Army" as well. Had a huge crush on him.

Oh he is..He was so damn charming in Alaipayuthe..And equally convincing as a matured, tormented writer in Kannathil Muthamittal..He is one talented guy..
