All desis here in US have a fake accent. 😆...they try their best to copy American accent but for anyone who was born in India and grew up there its hard to forget Indian-English and adopt American English.

Im speaking from personal experience here. 😛

Only the desi kids born here have an American accent because they are hearing it right from birth. 😆

PC is trying to speak with American accent in the Quantico trailer but thats exactly how Indian immigrants here speak the language, in fact its better than how most NRIs speak the language. Ive heard much worse accents than that.

And I dont understand this Indian obsession with getting the perfect American accent...there are immigrants from all over the world in the USA, there are as many different accents here as there are countries in the world.

Theres millions of people here speaking English with Spanish accent, East European accent, Irish accent, Italian accent (fuggedaboutit 😆 and every other accent possible. So whats the problem in speaking with Indian-American accent? 😕

I was going schizophrenic because I was doing Marathi dialect training for my role as Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani and American dialect training simultaneously. I was losing my mind and forgot what I was supposed to sound like.

but also have seen many desis with fake accent too. and here fake means as you said something not natural however hard they can try. and it won't come naturally so no point in generalizing that everyone gets it. not really.

and I agree with the point that whats the obsession with american accent, they very well can understand ur Indian accent too just like how they understand spanish , Irish and Italian accent...so no point in trying to adopt american accent and sound like PC - na ghar ka na ghat ka 😛😆😆 But its an individual pov and its upto an individual how they want to talk...all we can do is comment on that 😉😆😆

You cannot deny that all desis put up the fake accent when speaking with Americans at work or school or while shopping. THAT IS called the Indian American accent.

In the serial, PC is training to be an FBI agent, so she will use the Indian American accent naa...😉
