no I will still deny lol , since as I said I speak the same way I used to speak in India and have seen many people that way too/nothing changes and believe me no problem in communication with any one here, with any american precisely !! 😆 but yes many put up the fake accent, wont deny that...may be thinking that communication would be easier...but not all :)
and of course there are exceptions for some words, but here talking about the overall accent.

I totally disagree with you...If you are in Usa your accent definitely changes..your accent doesnt change only if you stay in desi community and stay indoor all the time...only 10% i believe would be having that...so I think she was perfectly good to generalise as we.
I am in US and I always loved their accent and some new ppl I meet will feel difficult to differentiate me from citizen. They just dont believe that I am non-citizen..so it totally depends on our thinking...if you are narrow thinker you feel it as wannabe and if you are a wide thinker then you dont consider it as much problem...

As for peecee..she hangs out with americans not desis alone..so her accent definitely changes and as a wide thinker I believe her accent is improving day by day..it means she loves their accent and learning it just like me..

I am glad you replied... I thought you never reply...
I never find her fake or wannabe ever ..however it depends on individual mindset darling...I always liked her accent since andaaz and it used to be same since then..just my instinct ..

P.s -- I always love wannabes and wanted to be among them and worship them..😛😃

Tou when did I say she can "help her accent?" I just said what has been noticed by everyone. -_- Her accent is sorta uncomfortable to hear. I am not asking her to change it or whatever.

LOL, obvio your accent is fake. The one who needs training to put an accent, that accent definitely is fake.

And the problem ain't even about having a fusion accent as an immigrant. Problem is she's acting someone who is born and bred in US and her accent doesn't go with the character at all. If she was playing an immigrant who later became a citizen and joined FBI, then yes, it would have been so much more credible.

Accents in the states varies due to regions:

Valley girls, Boston's, Texan's, Alabama's, even Cuban in South Florida to the Mexicans in South Padre Island...

I agree. Same here in UK.

Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Swansea (Wales), all these cities in each country - Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Republic of Ireland all have different accents.

For example Liverpool = "scouse accent" or Birmingham "brummie"

I'm from Nottingham so our accent is very "posh like" but London is slightly more posh.

It is quite normal for people to have accents of the places they've lived in for a long time. If you've lived in two altogether different countries, its quite common to have had your accent impacted by both the places. I really don't think that PC has a fake accent or something. She was quite young when she studied in America and kids are still pretty impressionable and still developing at that age. I wonder how no one makes fun of Saif's accent. 😆
Hell I've seen worser cases .. with people who've lived in India all their lives but are always flaunting their love for hollywood films and english language like it is some status symbol. These are Indians who may not have ever stepped outside India but try to sound all hollywood-ish american english just because they think it looks kool 🤣 .. this is actually a pretty common case in the upper middle class society of India.
