Fact is Sallu gave hits too, big ones at that unlike Ranbir who was too hyped but actually never performed that great at BO. Check list and extent of those hits also apart from just flops.

RK coterie and hype machinery are the reason behind such reactions.

Focus on him and his generation at best instead of comparing with seniors and taking potshots at their careers and star power.

RK coterie straight away compares him to seniors whether in success or failures. Get over this. It's only detrimental to his perception. It is not going to affect seniors in any way. But it's not going to help RK either.

RK vs Sallu has dragged too much, spilling over to personal lives as well. It won't affect Salman. But it will affect RK who is just trying to establish himself.

Sorry but I have not seen such anxiety to compare with seniors in any fandom so soon in career of the star, that too, if he hasn't made waves ever - as the kind which seems to be there in RK fandom atleast online.

I don't know how to describe it. But it's irritating.
I didn't bother about Ranbir to like or dislike him. But these things really don't reflect well upon him.

Let him prove himself if he is really worth it. Regarding future, you never know. He might finally become the big draw, or someone entirely new might come and upset existing order or some contemporary might make it big. Who knows?

All criticism is mainly about RK not being as huge as media and fans claimed/hyped. Nobody said he's finished, that you need to bring up seniors again. Seniors never got kidglove treatment he gets. He is luckier than them in this aspect. 😆

Why write off Ranbir so early in his career?

He has only done 12 movies so far, compared to the several dozens by his senior actors.

i am one of those who is not surprised at all because i am a realistic fan... the forum always overrates him based on barfi and rockstar performances...If u r a practical fan, you cannot go on and on and on based on just two films. He still needs to act in many more genres and prove himself, he is doing that and failing...but it doesn't mean he will continue to fail. He will rise someday.

Don't forget that after debut, SRK, Salman were huge within 10 years in the industry with many superhits and blockbusters in their names. Has RK managed that? NO, not even in terms of movie graph and performance appreciation.

He is a very good actor and that's all, right now. He has a long way to go before being a great actor, let alone superstar. Because he is very dear to the industry, it praises him to the sky in whatever he does, wrong or right. Probably, he is finding it hard to keep sanity as to what's going on and thus dilemma within himself whether the industry people are fake or not...but the public is showing him the way forward and he is seeing it day by day.

For e.g- right now, he is being shielded from all the bashing for BV and director is taking all the bashing but he knows that it's wrong as he was equally involved in the movie, if not more. Until the criticism reaches him rightly, it's difficult for any actor to know what to do next or what he is doing wrong.

PS. after i wrote this and browsed forum, i see an article where he has already expressed dilemma as to what's happening 😉

Bad timing and luck. If BV came after 6 months of YJHD success, it would not have been such a disaster.
Besharam and Roy were bad choices.

If tamasha becomes a hit, he would be back on track and he should be eternally be grateful for deepika 😆

At the beginning of Sallus career, he gave lot of directors chances and either worked for free or didn't charge crazy amount of fees

y not...the current superstars too have given flops...but he needs to his take career seriously...look for good scripts...
