I guess you're right. I loved him for his acting but post YJHD, he had such a superstarrish vibe to him, like I loved seeing him in award shows etc. But now it's like he's just become a symbol of disappointment for me. Sonam and Abhi survive but most of their films are bad.

Would think ranbirs acting would save him and he would not need to rely on his name alone.

Flops are expected. Everyone has flops. This is his phase.

He has & that's sad for him. He is a good actor but made bad choices with film. My prediction is that Tamasha will be a huge hit because of Deepika is riding high on success giving back to back hits. As far as JJ is concerned it will be flop just like BV. What I have heard is that JJ's script is similar to VB movie BJ.

He never had that charisma to begin with. His debut was also a flop. He first made a mark at BO in 2009.

But the hype around him was excessive. The same next superstar, new king paraphernalia! They were so desperate that they crowned him new king and gave him entertainer of the year awards in the year of 3I!

The only films of his that I liked were WUS, Barfi and Rockstar.

Somehow he appears listless. I have often said I don't even see the sparkle in his eyes that his dad had.

Cut down the excessive hype. Focus on content that draws audience.

Being good or promising doesn't mean RK is king. Or future legend.

I just laughed when I saw Screen invent this new title in their annual survey just for him!

Why so desperate?

RK doesn't have fresh, unique persona, doesn't play to his own strengths, tries to be what he is not, does not know pulse of his audience and has his coterie pushing him too much.

It's naam bade aur darshan chhote for him now. Films aren't as special as the hype machinery claims.

They are bound to flop.

His coterie is not doing any good to his perception either by blaming everyone else and absolving him of any responsibility at all.

He should figure out his strengths and build base with what he has, instead of trying to bite more than what he can chew.

if he is really good at picking scripts/ghost directing then at best he can be the next amir. but amir is one hell of a smart and driven guy. don't know if rk can match that.
