When did Piku enter 100 crore club? do u even know what gross and nett are? 100cr club entering means to enter 100cr nett in india only. Collecting 100 cr gross worldwide means nothing to the 100 cr club. Marykom and Queen were also 100 cr gross worldwide but those films did not enter the club of 100 cr films. some here make 100 crore CLUB some joke.

Even 25 crores worldwide would have been an accomplishment for this movie. This is a great achievment, I f**kin love this movie. Deepika won me over and Amitabh Bachan so happy for him and Irfan was just so cute. Great job Piku team 👏

Then why is no one blaming RK??
Not even the media is blaming him for the failure, the one person that has been trashed left right n center is Anurag..

That's just so unfair :/

Piku May Emerge Top Worldwide Grosser Of 2015

Piku may emerge the highest grossing film worldwide of 2015. Baby earlier this year had grossed 125 crore Worldwide and that figure has been beaten by Gabbar Is Back which is looking to settle around the 135 crore mark but the way Piku is going it may just edge past the figure of Gabbar Is Back.

It will be photo finish between Gabbar Is Back and Piku and will take another a few weeks to settle issue but by that time Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Dil Dhadakne Do may also come into the picture depending on content.

The latter is hot in Overseas even though there is no big star in the film. The promos have worked and it will probably be the top Overseas in 2015 till date film content willing. Even a market like United Kingdom may put up numbers. Still its a sign how bad things are that the top grossers are falling short of even 150 crore Worldwide when a few films have crossed that amount in three days. Last year nine films topped 150 crore Worldwide even though business was not that good.

Bollywood Box Office: May 8-10

Piku
just knocked the pants off of every other Hindi movie to open in North America in 2015 so far and set a high bar for future releases. During its first weekend " from May 8-10, 2015 " Piku earned $938,938 from 117 theaters, an average of $8,025 per screen.

Mother's Day Sunday drove huge crowds to the theater for the family comedy starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. At least one showing at my local cinema sold out of tickets, which is almost unheard of. In one weekend, Piku earned $200,000 more than Baby " now the second highest earner of 2015 " earned from four weeks in North American theaters. Pikus strong earnings and positive word of mouth should make the team behind Bombay Velvet nervous ahead of its release on Friday, May 15.

[Rentrak reports to Bollywood Hungama weekend earnings figures for Piku that are about $150,000 less than the above figures reported by Box Office Mojo. I tend to prioritize Box Office Mojo's figures when they have them available for Hindi movies. Either way, Piku earned a helluva a lot of money.]

In its second weekend, Gabbar is Back took in another $109,705 from 92 theaters ($1,192 average), bringing its North American total to $490,385.

Other Hindi movies still in North American theaters:

  • Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!: Week 6; $2,200 from six theaters ($367 average); $608,751 total
  • Dharam Sankat Mein: Week 5; $160 from one theater; $13,545 total

Back in the 2010s, all kinds of movies co-existed on the big screen. In fact, in 2012, there was a surfeit of mid-budget, content-driven films...
