Do you think Anu could have played Veronica better in Cocktail? - Page 6

So some people think Deepika suited the role because she looks better and is sexier than Anu. I think that is kind of insulting to Deepika's talent.

I think sometimes your looks somehow help enhance your performance...but with that, you need a performance to begin with. Deepika could've looked the part but could've also ruined it completely by acting horrendously..but she did a decent job I'd say. That's not to say that Anushka can't play a Veronica at all. No, that's not true. I find Anushka very pretty..and I do think she can manage to pull off a sexy avatar as well...but, in my opinion Deepika was just fine as Veronica. Everything worked in her favor without trying too much. She kind of just slipped into the role. It's one of the few performances of hers where she was one of the better parts of her films. I think Deepika was better in this film than YJHD. Her performance in YJHD is pretty overrated.

He would've possibly ruined the entire movie. 😆 I don't know what's worse an older Saif in a youthful movie or Imran who's young yet can't act too well?

Magic happened with JWM,BBB,Cocktail,Queen,2states..

These are films with no superstars..Careers soared.

It doesn't happen often

Anu was considered for Ram Leela and YJHD..maybe those roles can be speculated on..

^ 2 states was based off of a popular novel. Anything less than what happened to it would've been a disappointment for the makers. The novel helped the movie...however the movie was lame. I walked out so disappointed.

No, Deepika was outstanding as veronica and she looked stunning. I can't see anyone else doing the role of veronica. I didnt liked the movie but her character was amazing.

I don't think so. I think look-wise Deepika suited the part. And she did a great job playing Veronica's part.

Anushka is too skinny...it prevents her from looking as that "voluptuous sexy" character in films compared with DP and Katrina
