Why is Bollywood trying to make 'Varun' happen? - Page 4

Eggads!! I m shocked to see Sid as the benchmark even now...Why not Ranveer or Sushant?Going by apparent forum logic,he is doing better than every new gen actor..We fans have forgotten when was Sid's last release but good that he is still fresh in detractor's mind 😆

OT,I dont think BW is trying to make him happen any more than their Aloo kachaloo...In the past I've seen same kind of support for RK,Imran,Abhishek etc..But only RK survived while others perished..so its all about the kind of work u do,fanbase u create etc ..Varun can act decently(though I think his skills are kinda overrated cuz I thought he was pretty bad in ABCD2 trailer expression/dialogue delivery wise...but even tht act got hyped like best thing ever..as of now he aint a polished performer..he has his days..needs a talented director to bring out the best in him),dancing talent,better energy on/offscreen than Sid or Sushant,intelligent enough to use his contacts,strategies his PR activities..he has had a stable gf for past 3 yrs but he knows how to avoid media hoopla around tht relation...90% of fans were sure he is oh so in love with Alia after HSKD promotions😆...so he is smart abt managing media,limelight etc while others still depend on mentor's advice before uttering a word to press lol ..he has tapped the advantages of being born into this industry well..seems to know all insider information...So yea he is definitely here for long haul..wish he could show more versatility in script/role selection though.

boy was really good in badlapur. so far he is doing good...and if he has it, no one can stop him from most happening, if he doesn't, no matter how much bollywood promotes , not going to happen.

He and his smile remind me of a chimp. I havent seen Badlapur though which seems to be his best work. I dont think BW explicitly tries to make him happen like they do with Alia. Most of his films have been hits so obviously he will be hyped.

I don't think anyone's trying to make him happen. Yes he has industry support but all star kids do and he has proved that he talent! All his films have worked and no matter how much one gets pushed box office success is in the hands of the audience. He's a great actor, dances like a dream, has good screen presence. He's also very hardworking, ambitious, passionate and is pretty smart about how to play the bollywood game...yes abcd2 isn't looking like his best...but it seems to have gotten an okay response so far. I see him going far but let's see

I know his personal life or love life is being compared to others in terms of media attention. I really don't think media's lack of attention on his love life is some kind of a genius PR move on his part. I think Natasha being a non-celebrity and out of the media lime light basically has left Bollywood gossip circles with nothing to write about. Had he been dating an Alia or a Shraddha, or a Deepika or a Katrina it would have been a different story. And let's wait and see how he is with Shraddha once ABCD2 promotions are in full gear. I expect blinds about a long term non-filmy girlfriend being unhappy with a star daughter actress' closeness to her boyfriend yada yada yada.

Wasn't he linked to Alia, Lisa Hayden and even Bipasha at one point last year?

One word, Badlapur.

We are almost into may and that is still the best movie and the performance of the year.

I rate Badlapur as the best performances out all the newcomers (Ranveer, Sidharth, Aditya, Sushant...). That was an extremely tough role and he pulled it off exceptionally well.

So no, nobody is trying to make him happen.

varun is unwatchable in those young cool entertainer movies but he was really good in badlapur

He is a lanbi race ka ghoda.. never seeing side ways but at aim. He will go very far.

he is a hard working actor , reminds me of prem from o o jaane jaana. he will go far with his career i believe.
