Inflation adjusted collection of old movies can blow people's minds.

And it doesn't take a genius to figure out how yesteryear stars had NO other way to look young except a wig!

That's why younger stars used to take over easily. And even actresses had to play mummy or bhabhi roles soon.

Nowadays they have plethora of ways to look younger. Special effects, plastic surgery, botox and whatnot. Even most action scenes are created though special effects. I've watched making of Sivaji on news channels and how technology was used to make Rajinikanth look way younger, even fairer and give impression that he was performing the stunts.

If yesteryear stars had such facilities their reign would be even longer.

Whether it's films or any other field, people from different eras can never be compared.

YOU is used for both singular and plural so when someone says YOU, it doesn't mean you in particular and I even mentioned 'you people' so you don't mistake it for yourself but I guess that went over your head and you've to make all these personal comments, what happened? What I fail to understand is why are the Khans always counted as one unit. They are three individuals.
Salman, the biggest star of the 3, would have a hard time competing with Dharmendra's super stardom, much less the mega stardom of Bachchan and Kaka in the 70's-80's.


As for fading away, its not happening anytime soon for either of the three. See its a great time to be a star. You have massive studios, marketing campaigns, thousands of screens, exorbitant ticket prices and ten other mediums of recovering money. A film flopping almost never happens when released on 3000 screens with great marketing campaigns, high ticket prices and great release dates(holidays) which is almost all Khan releases. It wasn't so in the past when a film had to run for weeks before being declared a hit. Content mattered. So as long as the Khans keep making mega budget films and keep releasing them on Diwali, Christmas, Eid they will keep raking in the moolah. Don't be fooled though. It's much more than starpower at work here.
