Errr.. OK .. šŸ¤”

There is some truth in that , i won't deny .. still, i think its another unfair generalization .. šŸ˜†

And sometimes you need thinly veiled language to trick people.
"No man can kill a Nazgul" - Witch KIng
"I am no man" - Eowyn

If legend said "A woman can kill a Nazgul", Sauron would have ordered all female infants killed in a reverse King Herod. But instead legend said "No man can kill a Nazgul". Sauron fooled. Nazgul fooled. Enough said.

Grammar. Winning the earth since the middle!

Not unfair generalisation when Ive myself heard disgusting things by some guys... One of them even said if a woman wears short clothes, she deserves to be raped... His friends think that they will do a favour to the gal they marry and that she should be virgin and dat they will make her obey to their commands...as if women are just a commodity🤢 And dese are all engineers im talking about... But i still wont say all guys are like this...some are really nice as well

Feminists are on a roll yet again ! 🄳

Nandita may have been misquoted ,the context may have been changed , Nandita may have made a U turn but feminists will go as far as finding ways to justify such an offensive generalization ! .. šŸ‘ ..
now i have no doubt in my mind that Modern Contemporary Feminism is WRONG !! <= Another generalization #MyChoice !

P.S. rits08 this post is not directed towards you, just wanted to make it clear to avoid confusion .. šŸ˜†

What a shameful thing to say Ms.Das...how can you make such a despicable generalization? your "intellectual" facade has crumbled.

Sorry, there was no context given! No one said context has been changed, because no context has been given.

I don't believe she has been misquoted.

Operative word 'May' .. look i highlighted it for your benefit .. šŸ˜†

Moreover , some people were asking for the whole interview from which this statement might have been taken , so thats what i meant by context .. when a statement is taken out of context , its meaning does change to an extent .. i think i have seen enough Bolly articles on this forum to vouch for that .. šŸ˜†

Except she never said that. Me think another journalo found a way to get clicks & discredit her & her work. Hopefully she will sue whoever wrote that quote.

Yes, I am asking for context. That is different that saying context has been changed, like you are saying of those in the thread--the feminists finding ways to justify as you say.

Again, we do not know the context. No one is saying context has been changed. How can the context be changed when it is given without any context? Give the context of the quote and then I will criticize and harshly judge if needed. But till then, when this is given with no context, and when I believe this statement is justified in certain contexts, I will refrain from judging her remarks as over-generalization, uncalled for, pseudo-feminist, misandrist, etc etc.

What does your saying 'may' have to do with it? I just clarified to say, no I don't believe she was misquoted. Definite. I don't believe she was misquoted. So whatever attacks you want to give on the feminists speaking up for her (which includes me since I too tried to provide possible context in this thread), believing she may have been misquoted doesn't apply to me. But I do believe context within which that quote was given is important.

I feel ridiculous even replying to this post .. šŸ˜†

The "context" point wasnt even the main issue .. all it was meant to highlight was , Nandita's statement may have been misquoted ( you dont think she has been misquoted , good for you ) or Nandita's statement has been taken out of context & has been presented here without the appropriate context .. thats what i meant by "context may have been changed" .. it was supposed to be in support of Nandita or to be more precise , to give her the benefit of the doubt .. šŸ˜† ..fine , you didnt get it before , hopefully now you do .. šŸ˜†
