For what I remember of her, is as one of the very dignified Actress and Wife of a Superstar. I always credit her for the way Abhishek and Shweta has turned out. The least bratty of all star kids. And Jaya played a huge part in it.😊

AB piggybacked on her stardom and recommendation during earliest phase of his career. She took on superstar like Rajesh Khanna even when she was just a GF of AB and defended him against bullying.

I don't understand what more she still has to do to be on husband's side.

I find her honest and opinionated. She raised her kids well, managed her husband's crises well and her in laws were very fond of her. I find her conservative though. She has traditional views basically and holds up status quo maybe because she herself is daughter of a known literary personality, DIL of famous poet and wife of super famous star.

She doesn't deserve half the hate she gets.

What big day? It's just a trailer launch of a 72 year old superstar. It would be big, if was the trailer of a debutant.

I think the hate is more to do with her involvement in politics more than anything else. And her appearing to be a bit aggressive in front of the media. I don't think most people on this forum know about the things you mentioned. I could be wrong, but that's the feeling that I get. Personally, I am a huge fan of her performances in films like Koshish, Guddi and Anamika. However, I've always noticed that Jaya Bhadhuri is not spoken of much as compared to Jaya Bachchan.
