And it is a fact, many safety guides state that if trapped by men, the woman should not fight. She should hold her tongue within her clenched teeth and endure the rape. After they are done, they will let her go. "Better to follow this step than get further brutalised or murdered". 🤢

A lady politician had said that if Jyoti had begged to be spared then they would not have taken her intestines out.

What can we do then if women themselves bark like this?

I guess at this rate people will have to give poison packed in pouches to their daughters so that they can eat it when about to get raped. In past parents used to give such stuff to girls so that they better died than lose their "izzat". Millions of girls committed suicide like this to resist rape back then. Guess we want to return to medieval ages!

@bold-shocked at ppl's wisdom .if bad gals ,gals roming with boys ,dress code and begging for getting spared are solutions wht answers they will give for rapes on 3-10 yr old gal children, and above 60 aged women and even father brother raping their daughter n siblings...my grnd father was a lawyer and he got the cheapest kind of crime cases on rapes possible and definitely these excuses wont apply to them and these questions if asked to these idiots can shut them up for good🥱

Whoa..well it may or may be not promotion gimmick...but it is good. India is one of the worst places to be a woman undoubtedly...the fact that we even after being a secular democracy where everyone
has the right to be treated equally, and yet in women position we are around religious, dictatorial states like middle east, it says enough.
Things like these bring attention to these issues and that is one of the things we need. Until people think themselves about such issues, these issues will remain intact. And the rapists, molestors etc come from our society only, they dont come from another planet.

How can there be reform if even from jail the rapist still thinks it's the victim's fault? Or if a lawyer (someone who studied law and the application of justice) thinks a woman leaves her morality at home when she walks out with a boy? It's really disheartening to know that it might take generations before things change. It's basically like everything else is in the 21st century as far as education and jobs and technology but people's mentalities remained in the 14th century or something.

As for asking women not to fight, here's the thing. I have been at seminars or meetings where a police officer came as a speaker and he said every single thing can be used as a weapon. A pen, your keys, even heals of your shoe. If nothing else use your finger to gouge his eye. But unfortunately not every girl succeeds in getting away. Unfortunately sometimes it becomes about surviving. The problem with the way this article worded it was that they were trying to blame the victim for "getting herself killed."

This is really not a good idea, the prevention, the awareness on this horrific issue should be done directly in India, at the local level.
It will only target India as the first destination for rape (which is actually the 5th). All my non-indian friends (woman and man) just don't want to go to India anymore, they have such a bad idea of the country. It's not about covering the crap, but the western media are only talking about that or Modi wearing 14.000 suit. Come on India has more to provide. Freida should be responsible on the image she is giving of her own country because she is seen there as an ambassador.

Big actors in India should launch with an NGO a tour campaign on respecting women in India. Go to big cities, small towns, villages, talk to people; stop cautioning dirty item numbers or any kind of objectivization. Some TV spots should be done too with them.

Most importantly, the Indian government should finally wake up. They have the responsibility to reverse the tendency. At least, I hope all the bad vibes on India will make them realize the bad reputation the country is seriously getting abroad.

i feel beyond disgusted reading that man's view on the girl he raped 🤢.
He feel no shame or regret whatsoever. The bitter truth is India is full of such f**ktards. They make fun of western culture and think they themselves are 'oh-so-well-f**king-cultured', but in real they're dirty beyond limits.

this is beyond words. its horrific. and im astonished at the mentality of the people involved in the case. i hope these people dont have daughters/mothers/sisters living in the country and if they do, hopefully they keep them locked up. because, you know, only immoral girls go outside.
