Colin Firth and Daniel Day-Lewis were foreigners too and they won. 😆

Thats now how I think 😆

But these awards have a tendency to go like that

Will see what happens

Birdman is generating some serious buzz but Boyhood deserves love too . Close call between the two.😆

Cannot wait for the fashion too- Cate B, Emma Stone, Lupita , Amy Adams , Felicity will surely bring the best couture.

this year best actor and best supporting actor category put me in fix. I have my few personal favorites whose work I follow as nominees but I want the great performances to win the award.
so as you said, as much as I admire Cumberbatch, binge watch his work, I just cannot see him winning the category. better luck next time Mr. Sherlock. 😆
same goes with Edward Norton too.

Definitely excited tonight! I enjoy the red capet looks and the entertainment acts
Looking forward to NPH hosting...I feel like he was a good pick to get both older and younger crowd to watch this year

Theory of everything was so good. Felicty and Eddie. <3

I can't wait to see the gowns. Lupita was by far the best dressed last year. I can't wait to Elie Saab and the new Versace collection.

I agree! Julianne Moore is underrated at times...I watched The Hours a few years ago, I felt that her subtle performance was the best in that movie compared with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. I have a feeling this year will be her year for sure!

They are lobbying so hard. But also it's a really good movie.

American Sniper probably won't win anything even though it's really good. Also, I wouldn't mind BC winning...he deserves some love.

Yes it is winning.

I knooow! I want BC to win!!! But he won't. he's such a good actor, seems like a lovely man & THAT VOIIICE. ☺️

You're right. If it was any other year, he probably would've. But Redmayne has blown everyone out of the pool.

yup, it became too tough this year. But as he is very capable actor , I am sure he will win sooner or later in coming years.
most ironical part of all these is Benedict Cumberbatch played Hawking very efficiently too in that bbc docufeature which gave him more visibility on television circuit prior to Sherlock phenomena. this year his co-patriot giving him competition and even may beat him doing the same role. Destiny it is I suppose. it was so unlikely otherwise seeing his popularity though Eddie redmayne has great line of work too like that series birdsong. time changes everything.
I thought that docu series was more researched in terms of Hawking life though. TOE primarily is story of relationships and not a great film imo.
but does this matter? benedict cumberbatch will still remain the craze, rage among cumberbitches and social media would worship him as usual. 😆and as you said I will still love him for that voice and the way he carries himself so gentleman like. 😳

Cumberbatch is adorable. But I honestly don't think he likes to lobby for it. I think he's just happy he's nominated. And he's such a good actor and always in good work--he'll eventually win one.

Well whoevr wins the SAG always wins the Oscar. So Eddie it is. I thought Keaton's role was pretty dark and complex too. Eddie made a huge transformation for the part and that goes well with the voting audience. Think about it--Charlize for Monster, Rourke, McCoughaney.

@Rose: I think the same. She's so underrated. But I don't think she was better than Meryl. I'm probs bias but after I see a Meryl performance everything else pails. She's just so good and so creative and so spontaneous. 😆

HE IS PERFECT!He literally is. I've SOOO many random celeb crushes but he's on the top-list. Harry Styles, Matt Bomer, Jack Falahee, Jack Whitehall, Fawad Khan, SRK, Rahul Khanna, Randeep Hooda but really--BC is something else. He seems like a very nice chap & that VOICE!

His wife seems blaaa. Only marrying her for the baby. 😛
