Staying in the closet in Hollywood is still very much career driven. While there are those who are publicly out, that doesn't mean that there still isn't pressure or the thought that it is not going to affect a career.

Also, if you look at the two biggest examples, NPH and Matt Bomer, they made their name through TV first. Same goes for Zachary Quinto.

It is definitely still not an open environment where people are encouraged to be open and believe it won't affect their career. That thought and belief still exists.

It is. But not if you're a leading man. I would be very happy if that were so but it doesn't seem to work like that if you've lead ambitions. Everyone knows Oprah is gay. But does she come out? No. There is a lot of difference between being strongly suspicious, or feeling like you're sure- And being sure. It's all speculation until she does come out. A lot of them do wish to come out & lead a honest life- But are pushed into their closets by their management/agents.

To my mind, it doesn't matter either. I don't see why if you're gay or bisexual you need to "come out."

Ah! Kristen Stewart is a fun one to decipher. The Twilight special edition disk came with behind the scenes footage and she's all touchy-feely with Nikki Reed. It used to be on YT. One of my friends had pointed it to me and she also sent me all these pics of Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed walking hand in hand, shopping together etc. Never really made much of it then. Although I did have a Reed-Stew DP for a while. Rumors started again with The Runaways with Dakota Fanning. Their chemistry was sizzling on and off the screen there. I don't know why they removed the Charlize Theron thing from YT. There are several videos online with Dakota Fanning raving about Kristen's kissing skills. Now that I think of it Kristen totally does have the grungy goth dyke vibe to her.

Can we have speculations and theories threads here? I used to be on a forum where we had a thread dedicated to it. Whenever someone came out, people who called it would gloat. It was fun. I wish we could have one in BS too. I have theories on Sonam and Hrithik for sure. A bit of SRK too.

Ellen Page is ok, good actress, I really liked her in Juno. I think it was really obvious she was gay. She pinged my gaydar.

OOoh Amber Heard!! HOT! SO hot! She's with Johnny Depp now & that man has the hottest, most interesting women dating him. Well he's Johnny Depp so that must be his special power.

Well SRK is bisexual with a preference for men. Ye am going to be shot for this but really, BW I can say with lot of certainty that I feel this is true. So are John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Nikhil Dwivedi, Akshay Kumar has been with men a few times mostly Tushar Kapoor who is gay. Manish M. etc.

I completely agree with this.

Yea I can totally believe that a manager or a publicist would keep an artist in the closet because it will affect the image that they've pushed forward for their client. Rather sad actually.

I thinks it sucks for fan girls when hot guys come out to be gay.It's so heart breaking nah. Bomer is the one I lived in Denial. Poor One Direction, fan girls.

What I meant was-They're super successful, very rich & very talented young people who have the pick of their lot if they wanted romantic partners. So their sexuality is the last reason why they won't date these crazy fan girls. 😆

P.S. The word 'date' makes me uncomfortable. 😕
