Freedom of speech is not, "I can say my opinions but no one is allowed to criticise it because my feelings will be hurt" 😭 😆 Calling someone a hypocrite because they are one is not trying to curb anyone from expressing themselves, it is not the same as trying to criminally charge people and censor and ban content because it "offends" you. 😆

Freedom of speech is having the freedom to say what you want without facing prosecution. It doesn't save you from criticism - because well, those people have the freedom of speech to criticize.

So Aamir expressed his opinion on the issue & i din see him ask for a ban..Infact i thought he din like the way a lot of ppl were dragging the issue & asking for it be banned..Instead of opposing what he said & defending AIB or the concept of a Roast , she calls Aamir ( and others opposing the roast) as self-styled moralists who are a lot more frightening & injurious to the world..Forgive me if am misreading it here but IMO, she could have expressed her stance & supported AIB without resorting to attack people who have an opposing POV..And my comment was not for Pooja in particular..It was a general statement i made cos in this whole ' right to freedom of expression' fiasco, i only see people being judgmental about eachother's opinions..So if someone is offended, they are regressive, uncool etc. etc. & if thats not enough, even India as a country is judged & bashed based on gross generalizations..Thats the only reason why i made that post..And i repeat again, a lot of ppl including myself din ask for a ban..Infact, i haven't even watched the Roast as a whole so i never claimed to be offended either..And as far as i can see, Aamir din ask for a ban either..He only expressed his opinion & i felt it was uncool on Pooja's part to attack the person who is only saying what he felt instead of defending her stance..Feel free to disagree..

Why do they simple talks out the roast rather than trying to make themselves heard by talking about another personality...

Aamir did not say that it should be banned or anything, he said that he didn't enjoy that kind of humor and he found it violent because of the attacking tone of the jokes.. He doesn't have to enjoy the roast and he can have an opinion on it, its his freedom of speech. I don't see any hypocrisy in him not liking a joke on someone's skin color and having produced a double meaning song! They are two very different things!

in all cases, aamir is getting bashed left, right and centre and rightly so for his premature and immature comment.
Premature because he made the comments without watching the video.
Immature because he called it violent and what not.

The rule of the game is you stick for your colleagues in need of time. If you didn't like it, you tell them privately, but you don't bash them publicly for everyone else to laugh😕.
