Sad to say but this roast has changed the way I view some of these celebrities that were supposed to be my favorites. I'v realized they're not genuine at all and a bunch of hypocrites. They're actors on-screen AND off-screen.

Same here...and for me...the off-screen behaviour of a celebrity is more important than how they act...otherwise I would never have been a fan of Katrina😆😆

Except for the jokes on Ashish's skin color, which was racist, I didn't find anything else offensive. But it must be my several roast watching mind has a different level of acceptance or tolerance.

Were loved ones of ISIS victims offended? Were Ebola victims offended? Were cancer victims offended? Were Farida Jalal and Reema Lago offended? If they watched this they probably were. Who knows? Maybe Amitabh Bachchan was offended because they mentioned his coma. Maybe A chemist was offended because someone mention potassium in a context of Karan Johar movies. Can a comic or any public personality ever say something that someone somewhere will not find offensive? Highly unlikely. I think this is something every famous, or semi famous, personality understands and accepts. When you participate in a roast you basically know that you will offend a wide range of people or groups. You can only hope that most people realize that these comments are in jest and not out if hatefulness or indifference.

As for Sonakshi and KRK specifically, I think there was a vulgarity in KRK's tweets that was offensive. Not to mention that it was random and out of no where. Fat jokes at a roast is not random at all. Having said that Sonakshi probably should have been left alone because she was just an audience member and not a direct participant of the roast. Same with Alia. The jokes that involved Deepika's name weren't making fun of her directly so that was different in my opinion.

These are my opinions anyway.

So in ur opinion its OK to use ebola, beheadings , rape etc to be used in jokes just because chances are that their victims might not be listening and so there is no cance of them being offended?? Did I get it right??🤔

I'm still waiting for her 'OMG! That was the coolest, funniest thing I have ever seen!!!' tweet.

You're too naive to think that celebs (fave or none fave) are genuine 😆
They're lying/fake most of the time
I mean they are real people, but sadly they often hide that side of theirs..
Blame the money,fame..They always trying to maintain the public image often the public built or wants to see..

Gee thanks for the compliment 😆

But I agree. I'm learning more and more just how contrived and calculated these celebs really are. The depths they will go to for any attention is sad. . Just gonna focus on their work and ignore everything else tbh.

Yeah who knows, so who cares right? Let's use people dying from Ebola, or innocent people being beheaded, in our jokes, because, well surely it doesn't matter! Because they can't hear us right? Which mean's it A-Okay! Let us do that! And while we're at it let us throw in a rape joke too because well, it's not like there are any rape victims that can hear us right, even though we don't know if someone watching the show might be one, but for the sake of 'roasting and entertainment', let's assume? Which means it's A-Okay!

I'm going to exit this thread now because some people's 'opinions' here appal me. Shoutout to those three outta thirty people who actually share my opinion about why this was such a shitty show. Anyway have a good day everyone, stay fresh!

Oh wow!!! That escalated quickly.

Not being offended does not classify one as apathetic towards personal or global tragedies. Like I said above, jokes at a roast are not done with malicious intent. My point was, when you do something publicly you run the risk of offending someone, and more often than not you succeed.

I respect your right to be offended. I'm sorry you found my right not to be appalling.
