Except for the jokes on Ashish's skin color, which was racist, I didn't find anything else offensive. But it must be my several roast watching mind has a different level of acceptance or tolerance.
Were loved ones of ISIS victims offended? Were Ebola victims offended? Were cancer victims offended? Were Farida Jalal and Reema Lago offended? If they watched this they probably were. Who knows? Maybe Amitabh Bachchan was offended because they mentioned his coma. Maybe A chemist was offended because someone mention potassium in a context of Karan Johar movies. Can a comic or any public personality ever say something that someone somewhere will not find offensive? Highly unlikely. I think this is something every famous, or semi famous, personality understands and accepts. When you participate in a roast you basically know that you will offend a wide range of people or groups. You can only hope that most people realize that these comments are in jest and not out if hatefulness or indifference.
As for Sonakshi and KRK specifically, I think there was a vulgarity in KRK's tweets that was offensive. Not to mention that it was random and out of no where. Fat jokes at a roast is not random at all. Having said that Sonakshi probably should have been left alone because she was just an audience member and not a direct participant of the roast. Same with Alia. The jokes that involved Deepika's name weren't making fun of her directly so that was different in my opinion.
These are my opinions anyway.
