No she is not endorsing women empowerment.She once and for all made the point.everyone listened.so many articles were written.most of them agree few didnt.I myself dont like such jokes.but if celbs herself are fine with it,then it is alright.Not only deepika,alia,sonakshi but ur favs would have also laughed at it if they have seen it or anyone will see it will take it as a jest.

First of all , the AIB event didnot differentiate between degrading jokes on men & degrading jokes on women ..i think that in itself was a statement .. the gross out jokes were made according to the context, the gender differentiation notwithstanding .. what i dont understand is , how can a roast event be labelled as something "offensive" to the entire female population ?.. 😕

What is all this male-female species logic ?.. 😕.. is it the twisted modern feminism talking here ?.. 😕 .. coz i totally dont get what happened here to offend the entire female species.. 😕..oh you mean like Deepika is also a woman & if she is participating in the event , she is forcing "all women" to participate against their will ?.. 😕 ..i think this is getting weird now.. 🤔 😆 .. is it because Deepika is now forever indebted for the support she got for TOI controversy that she should monitor her every move carefully ?

About the TOI incident , that was stand against exploitation & media taking inappropriate advantage of Deepika - the human being & the woman.. ..The roast event was laugh at yourself insult comedy where Deepika participated willingly .. its apples and oranges IMO .. still some people find the connection , nothing against them .. so be it .. 😊

As for criticizing the events , celebrities ..etc thats totally justified .. so by all means , continue to do so coz at the end of the day everybody is entitled to have their own opinions ..no issues there .. 😊

P.S. I am quoting & replying coz i felt like your post was directed towards me.. we have different POVs in the matter..lets just agree to disagree..

You make me sound like an anti-male feminist 😕 Why are you diluting the topic by making it male vs female? I never said anything like that. She protested against women objectification in the past, and also about women in general are not respected in this country. So being a part of this show were they are casually using the word Ch** to make people laugh...is not going well with me. That's it.

@Bold- That's just your assumption.

What I tried to say is that if Deepika gave any consent to AIB to make such jokes then it doesn't mean we cannot oppose...her consent is not any official stamp because you said that a consent makes all the difference. And the jokes were not only about her personal life but also women in general...so people have the right to get offended.

No matter how many times you all say that TOI case was different..I am not going to change my views on that because her message was about respecting women and women empowerment.
If you have stood for women empowerment publicly...then Yes you have to be a little careful.

Edit- I will also blame Sonakshi here as she always bashed KRK for his vulgar tweets...but she was laughing and enjoying jokes which were much worse than that.

How long is the show? Was that paisa wasool show? Not feeling like watching it actually. I'd rather like to watch her women empowerment short film made by Homi. Has that one released? If yes, link please :)

@HawaaPot's P.S. 😆

Sonakshi and all were seated on the front row. Kaafi gehri dosti lag rahi thi. She probably didn't have any problem with her friends in AIB cracking that joke. She probably felt disgusted with that intruder KRK's comments. How is it related? Different things, no?

@ Blue : Thanks for clarifying your stand & yes I Agree , everybody is entitled to have their own opinions especially regarding celebrities , so i have nothing contradictory to say in this context .. 😊

@ Red : Errr ... your explanation just confirmed my assumptions ..🤔 😆.. but then again , thats just your opinion.. like i said before , lets just agree to disagree here .. 😊

P.S.. i am not forcing to change your opinion..😲..why on Earth would i want to do that ? 😳 .. a discussion happens where there are contradictory opinions & nobody is here to change anybody's opinion...😊
