Post the success of Raanjhanaa, director Aanand L Rai may have moved to Tanu Weds Manu Returns while Dhanush would have picked up Shamitabh as his next Hindi assignment. However, the mutual admiration society between the duo continues to be unparalleled. This is pretty much for the keeps as the news has just come in that plans have been firmed up for the director-actor jodi to begin their next film."Yes, it was just a matter of time that they joined hands again. They would be coming together for a love story. In fact there is good progress being made towards putting together the film and the dates have already been more or less finalised. The film goes on the floors after October," informs our source.Aanand and Dhanush go back a long way as the filmmaker had really backed the actor when it came to launching him in Hindi films with Raanjhanaa. In fact they came quite close during the making of the film and its success only resulted in the bond being further strengthened. So much so that when Dhanush visited Aanand during the making of Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns, it was being largely speculated that he would be featuring in a cameo. Though there were denials that came around, the industry pretty much got a message that it won't be long before the duo would come together again. When contacted, Dhanush didn't deny the news and confirmed that he was committed to doing a film with Aanand. He says, "Yes, we plan to begin shooting for it towards the end of the year."Meanwhile, Aanand has busy giving shape to Tanu Weds Manu Returns that features Kangna Ranaut in a double role. While he still has time for that since the film's release is in the month of June, Dhanush is just a couple of weeks away from the arrival of Shamitabh. Meanwhile his Tamil romantic thriller Anegan is slated for Valentine's weekend release, which arrives just a week after Shamitabh, hence resulting in a double bill for the actor. While post Raanjhanaa he has completed three more Tamil films, the only Hindi flick that he has done is Shamitabh. Just when one would have expected him to get all the more aggressive with Bollywood, what made him go slow?"To be honest, I wanted to wait for the right script. I took time to pick and choose," says Dhanush candidly, "Moreover, while some scripts were just not the kind I wanted to be associated with, some of them were too good for me. I wanted a perfect balance and even if it meant waiting, it was all worth it."Now with Shamitabh and Aanand's film as his next, he seems to have finally found his perfect balance'.
