Day 3: Movie that Makes me Happy

Finding Nemo

Who says animated films are for kids only? Disney-Pixar revolutionized the world of animation in the western world. Taking the signature Disney charm and innocence, Pixar infused it with cutting edge animation and revolutionary storyboarding to create a one of a kind animated experience. Their greatest strength is their storytelling. Even mainstream flicks are hard pressed to come with such story lines. The stories are incredibly sweet without being too nauseous or overboard. They appeal to people of all age groups. They are infused with great humor and memorable punchlines. The best part is that they have a brisk well paced narrative. It is amazing how much they pack into less than 90 minutes.

While Pixar has a number of hit films under its belt like Toy Story, Cars, Up, Wall-E with Toy Story being their flagship, my personal favorite will always be Finding Nemo. I had that happy warm fuzzy feeling after watching it. I never grow tired of the film. It never fails to cheer me up, even on the darkest days. How can you forget a film with memorable characters like Bruce and Dory. Let us not forget the lines "Fish are friends, not food"; "Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming"; "Are you my conscience?"; "Duuude"; "Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine".

Close seconds: Oh so many feel good films Khoobsurat, Khatta Meetha, Golmaal, Chupke Chupke, Legally Blonde, Miss Congeniality, Pleasantville, Some Kind of Wonderful.

Yeah, right, and no harm ever came from reading a book. You remember how that one went?

Ah. You reminded me of a good one.

I've got a story for you. Back in summer of 98-99... cant' remember I waited in a long line in the summer heat of Texas to see the first one. I love the first one. It's got cheezy graphics since it's so old, but damn good film.

Its the only franchise in which I can bear watching Brendan Fraser. Imhotep and Ardeth make this movie for me. The kid is cute too.

Day 2- least favourite film

I don't watch them. I just skip them. Hopefully i will never have to watch them.
e.g. - tees maar khan, jab tak hai jaan and so on.

I don't watch them because i liked Farah's OSO and Main hoon naan. I am a big fan of Yash Chopra's every single movie till Veer Zaara.
So, i don't want to lose respect for the filmmakers
