Telly heartthrob Karan Singh Grover will soon make his debut in his upcoming release Alone' where he will be seen opposite Bipasha Basu in lead.

The actor in an interview to media stated that he would love to portray characters that are dark as he has been fascinated to such characters, the actor said, "I want to play someone really dark, like a real bad guy on screen. But I am sure I won't be able to do so because my fans will not let me do it. They are aggressive. My image is such that no one will allow me to do a negative character,"

Though Karan's debut Alone' happens to be a horror film, but he didn't feel any risk of taking a film with horror genre to make his debut in here, talking about the same the actor said, "I really liked the script of 'Alone'. I thought there were a lot unexpected things in the film, which I would want to watch as a viewer. I did not think like I was doing a horror film, I did not think in terms of genre. I decided on the basis of the script."

So far the trailer and songs from the film is been very well accepted by one and all. The film Is been directed by Bhushan Patel. Alone' will release all over on 16th January.

I like that bit where he speaks of his fans ...they will not allow him ..they are very aggressive ! See how much he cares for his fans !

But then if he thinks so much about us, we should also support him if he ever plays a negative role, even if we don't like it.

So true. And his character is a little like how Asad was, as I gathered from the trailers. Obviously there would some mannerisms and expressions from there. But he looks really great in them. All the songs and the trailers! I hope this is a success for him! *Fingers Crossed*

i would love to see Karan in a negative role.i can see him as a dark ,menacing,highly sinister guy.he would do it very well.somebody give him such a role.

I support that . I would also like to see him in a dark role ..really sinister.

There is not much scope for leads to experiment in our industry ..whether it is films or television . Once they project an image and that works every role offered after that is a repeat ...even up to the names ..SRK has a monopoly on Rahul, Salman on Prem and AB was always Vijay.

What can the poor actors do ?

Karan , within this frame work has dared to break through.After his huge success as Dr Armaan Mallik he stayed away for a long stretch to break away from the image ...though as he said "his fans would be happy to see him in the lab coat always" ..till he finally got Asad's role in Qubool Hai. Now this was diametrically different from Armaan ...as different as chalk is from cheese. Karan did a marvelous job of projecting a different persona very successfully.

With Alone he has moved a few notches ahead ..the milieu has changed and so has the genre .

The visuals show many facets of the character Kabir ..the detailed impersonation will unfold only when we see the whole film.

Let us not jump the gun and pass judgement before we see the entire film. He may spring a surprise and like the Pied Piper he has proved to be ...collect another legion of fans from the wider cinema audience now.
