Karan Singh Grover debut on the big screen

His debut film Alone has been carefully chosen by him ..or may be the film has chosen him! In his own words he accepted the challenge of debuting in a horror film merely because of the script. The story is gripping and unusual for Bollywood. The trailer and promos have provided glimpses of finesse with which the film has been made. They have been received well and the film has created a buzz long before its release on 16th Jan.

The film promises to be a thriller with good performances from KSG as well as Bipasha. Bhushan Patel the director has a good grip on the genre and therefore we can expect an entertaining weekend that may lead to sleepless nights of fear.

Make sure not to watch it alone.

I hope the halls are full up so the chances of watching it alone do not arise.

I feel we have obsessed with the erotic scenes un-necessarily.Today they are there in almost all movies as we have embraced globalization and with it every thing associated with it. Foreign movies have such scenes ..in fact they have always been there ..and no one has any problems watching them so why turn coy if it is a Hindi film ? At least the actors now have well toned bodies just so that they look good enacting such tracks. Also the film has been given an A certificate for both the erotica as well the horror. This is a genre which has not been taken very seriously by our film makers till now. They were always considered B-grade films . Alone promises to change all that as a few have declared that it is a horror film with elegance ..or class.

As this is forum for discussion on Bollywood films let us just stick to analysing the film without getting into any negativity .

Yes Karan will nail it for sure. and I am really looking forward to seeing him on the big screen finally.

We can expect a good degree of erotica as the film is about love ...a much in love married couple ...but with a unique twist .

So be prepared to see a lot of action ...leave the coyness & the fear at home.

Then be prepared to be entertained 😆

In our system music specially the songs are the USP of the film.

Alone has some interesting compositions and we can see that the makers have made a serious effort to get a group of composers as well as singers to create some fascinating songs .

In a thriller there can not be too much of songs as that would disrupt the suspense ..so it is good to see that this angle has been looked into. There are just three songs ..probably to provide an insight into the different relationship Kabir has with both Anjana anf Sanjana.. I am guessing that Katra with all its eroticism is picturized on Kabir & Anjana and the softer more romantic Awaara & Chand aasmano se on Kabir & Sanjana. here the songs will probably contribute to depicting the difference between Anjana and Sanjana.

The fourth is a finale number which has now become mandatory ...and promises to be fun as the crowds walk out of the theatres .. to bring them back to reality after the horror and suspense they have been put through. Should calm everyone's nerves.
