I have heard rumors about ajay devgan and akshay kumar having affairs and sleeping with other women. If these rumors are true then why are their respective wives,Kajol and Twinkle tolerate them and continue living with them?Even Suzanne tolerated hrithik who had affairs with kareena and Barbara mori after marriage.
So why do these star wives who themselves are totally independent tolerate their husbands ?Is it because of their kids or they enjoy being the wives of these successful men?
Latest star wive to join this list is Gauri if rumors of srk-priyanka affair are true.

I don't think any one of us knows the truth. We believe what we hear. Its a slight possibility, but they could simply just be rumors nothing more. We will never know for sure. And maybe the star wives tolerate it because there is no truth behind the rumors and they are just over-exaggerated to the media. It'll always be a puzzle that we will never be able to solve or know for sure.

Are you sure about that? A lot of them get the funds to enjoy their life from these men or being these men's wives (opening their own businesses, etc.) It's hard to give up that financial luxury, 'security' and social status after a while. I also suppose a lot of these ladies develop an entitled mindset after they have to bear the man, his philandering ways, the kids, his family, and more...since they stand the shit and help keep up the 'good image' of these men in society, they won't let another woman officially/publicly/legally in the door and on their turf. Most probably accept it and there's likely lots of rinse/repeat cycles of breaks and forgiveness. Until of course the females find another bakra who can provide them the same lifestyle and then they step out of the marriage rather easily.

Society also still stigmatizes an unsuccessful marriage. It's not easy to admit that you were at the end of unfaithfulness in a relationship and walk out of it when there is so much scrutiny and judgement from both your own personal and public circles. Girlfriends usually say 'Don't let him go!' rather than 'Great job on kicking him out'...because when the wife's money bag goes, so will all the perks that she treats her little circle to.

some of them are too used to the lifestyle that they stick with them. Some get a nice cheque to help keep up pretenses

What's to say they still have sexual interest in each other? So many years into marriage, I doubt many of them are (still regularly) jumping on each other. But speculation on that apart, I'm sure they've chanced on issues and learned lessons to take appropriate precaution for future endeavors.
