Speaking of Rajnikanth this is what is happening:

Rajinikanth film Lingaa caused huge loss, distributor tells Madras high court

CHENNAI: Complaining of a huge loss, a distributor of superstar Rajinikanth's recent film "Lingaa" in Trichy and Thanjavur districts has approached the Madras high court for permission to stage a fast in Chennai.

"Lingaa" was released on Rajinikanth's birthday on December 12, 2014.

In his petition, Marina Pictures managing director R Singaravadivelan said he had purchased the rights to screen the film in Trichy and Thanjavur districts for a sum of Rs 8 crore. He said the film was a failure and it did not get enough box office collections.

He said distributors in several other areas too suffered similar losses and they too plan to join the stir.

Claiming that he and several theatre owners who had paid had suffered losses, the petitioner said neither the producer nor actor Rajinikanth was willing to talk to them.

In order to highlight the plight of distributors and theatre owners, the petitioner company had sought permission to hold a hunger strike in Chennai on January 10. As there was no response from the city police, they filed the present writ petition.

The petitioner wanted the court to direct the Chennai city police to permit them to hold a hunger strike either at Valluvar Kottam or at the government guest house near Chepauk.

Aamir will last the longest. 15 years down the line I see him directing and acting in scripts like TZP. He is not limited to one kind of a brand/genre. People expect diffrent fresh concepts from him. This is where he scores. He is the actor whose acting and choices makes him a star. He can do a Lagaan, DCH, TZP, RDB, Dhoom, Talaash one after another. So, he has the creative freedom to do anything he wants; actually that's what sets him apart.

Among the other two, I would say it depends on Shahrukh. If he keeps selecting scripts like he is, he will go first. He is no Salman, no one is. He also has a certain image. And he is not willing to do anything apart from those two genres( Masala, Romance) either in recent years.If he can do stuff like CDI, he will last long. But the question is will he?? Time is running fast and he is planning HNY returns with Farah...

Salman, once the looks and the charm wears off will find it the hardest. Him and Shahrukh are, for the lack of better word limited. Which they are themselves reponsible for. I think Salman has realized this and his upcoming film choices show. Shuddhi,BB,and PRDP, Sultan; all are diffrent and look fresh. Time for Shahrukh to learn and follow suit.

Lets see how it pans out.

I wonder if people are thinking that Saif can still end up working in multi hero projects...he has never been a lead hero in the sense of the other Khans. Besides he has faded away once and came back...so he can probably find his way back again.
