Ranveer Singh in Ram Lakhan remake?

The bad blood over Ranveer Singh dropping out of Shuddhi for Bajirao Mastani may well be a thing of the past. We now hear that Karan Johar is seriously considering the Ram-leela actor for his production, Ram Lakhan to be directed by Rohit Shetty. Conjecture around the casting of this film is just getting better with time. C'mon guys, out with it.

It would be AWESOME if this rumor came true! (ONLY if done right, though)
Ranveer should be cast as Lakkhan and Ranbir should be Ram.

They should be given equal roles--and given the right leading women and treatment of the story--it has the potential to be the "hero-centric" film of the new generation.

The story had potential, but the potboiler portrayal ruined the 80's one. The remake could focus on the conflict between two brothers choosing different paths, but shown in an urban, realistic way. The right treatment could actually make the film work. The director should be Karan Malhotra or Abhinav Kashyap.

Ranveer and Ranbir are fantastic actors of this generation. Both being good actors, they will generate enough chemistry to fill the sibling rivalry tension. It could just turn out to be pretty amazing!

I just read that...lolol, I really think it will end up being Arjun Kapoor and RS in Ram Lakhan. Because its set to go on floors in 2016, keeping in mind that perhaps Bajirao Mastani will have released by then. I wonder what films Arjun Kapoor has lined up now? Haven't heard ANYTHING after Tevar.
Hopefully RS balances that with something less commercial more critical, or perhaps both. It won't release until end of 2016 or beginning of 2017 I think.

Imagine the heroines being Sonakshi and Deepika?

I hope its actually a good movie, and not anything close to Singham Returns. The first singham was good, so was Chennai Express. I just don't want it to go into that formulaic masala movie type of category. Chennai wasn't that kind of masala for me, neither was Singham. So I hope the best for the film if BABA is in it.

I think Ranveer would love to work with Ranbir, but Ranbir Kapoor once said that he only wants to do solo films. BUT OMG I would love to see them in one frame. But with Arjun Kapoor actually existing, do you really think that KJO will cast anyone else as Lakhan, Ranveer will get the role of Ram if it ends up happening.

Ranveer should play Ram if he does the film.
Lakhan is so close to his personality.
This film should be treated properly and shetty may do a Great job la Zameen n Singham. Not his typical films.
I want to see Varun as Lakhan

He should do it if he gets the role of Lakhan. Rohit Shetty's home territory never fails, it will help Ranveer increase his fanbase into Salman, Ajay's masala fanbase...After Gunday, i have seen salman fans liking him and joining RS facebook fanclub (i am the admin).

+1 but Ranbir is busy with too many films. I wanted to see these two together in a movie. Departed remake would also be a nice one for them to come together
