In screen zee, etc its based on voting mainly..popularity...the main award!! But who knows because some despite winning like SALMAN dont go to receive, hence tey sometimes probably dont even count his votes imo now..and just give to whoever is there or likes awards..but critics awards are by jury..here !!

I think thats just how the world works, award shows have been going on for years. No award show jury is going to give an award to someone who doesn't honor, or care for the award. If they can't attend because of other various reasons thats a different story.

But yes who is deserving? IT is Aamir and Kangana. Nevertheless, do they honor or believe in award shows? NO. So then shouldn't somebody else get it, who actually cares for it. For e.g Shahid or Priyanka? Both did give good performances, and want to be appreciated for their work. There is nothing wrong in that.

BUT yes if award shows start giving Deepika and SRK best actor male and female then yes it will become a joke. There is no doubt in that.

Talking about Filmfare only I thought that even their popular awards were half and half, half popular vote and half committe vote and then it gets calculated that way. So based on that even if SRK gets most of the votes for HNY shouldn't the jury on the voting committee be able to counterbalance that by judging the actual acting and not box office success? Cause otherwise then you are right, shouldn't Salman have won at least one best actor award in recent years? Unless I am wrong about how the popular votes are determined.

At this ceremony no idea when almost everyone gave him an award to him during dabanng 1 and even the movie got it, the director, etc he didnt..i was like wht a joke , not only was it the biggest grosser that year, he acted the best amongst the nominees that year!!

They should atleast give it to Shahid. He was superb in Haider. And tabu. And if not then Anushka or Aliya.

But if they hand to PeeCee then it will just be blehh! even Rani deserves it more than PeeCee or Deepika.

I would say Tabu was the hands down the best Actress of the year. I liked kangana but Tabu was just too good. But I doubt they will give Tabu the award for best actress... most probably Best Supporting Actress. but seriously hopefully they prove me wrong and give Tabu what she most deserves.

Also, along with Kangana...Rani and Tabu were amazing in their respective roles as well.

sasha should sweep the awards this year!

why to give even 1% value to aamir? they know he won't attend so ignore him as they do every year!

he may be the best this yr but he never attends them so why to consider?

kangana had come for filmfare once or twice for debut n fashion

they have others like tabu n rani n alia as well

I don't know what Kangana's reason is. But Aamir has basically made it known that he doesn't trust nor respects the Bollywood awards like FF, IIFA, Zee etc. I don't think he has any objections to National Award though. In 99 he won for Raja Hindustani and even then he wasn't there to pick it up in person. So this boycott has been going on for a while.
