That's something I like about Aamir, that he can do films like RDB and 3 idiots but his stardom doesn't overshadow other actors. All actors were given scope to perform. I thought Atul Kulkarni was brillant in his role. I liked Madhavan too.

At the time reports were Aamir got him kicked out of the film. But Arjun claims he walked out after problems with the director. Seemed kinda cocky about it. Course this was in first season of koffee with karan, so it was in 2005. RDB came out in 2006. Don't know what Arjun had to say after the film released...

It was clashing with his schedule. He had some other films in line.
The cast was perfect.
even I shipped sid n soha. They dated in real as well

Everything abt this movie was just perfect .. the climax was changed for good too , earlier one planned had all boys escaping from the radio station office .. my fav. Aamir movie & one of my fav. BW movies ⭐️

The climax was the best part of the film..Especially the part where Sharman's character dies..He is such a good actor..He & Aamir have great chemistry 😳

I remember during promotions of the movie he had a lot of praise for Aamir Khan saying the reason the film was as good was because Aamir Khan was a very secure actor. His character was the best, disillusioned rich kid of a corrupt father.

This is the first time I'm hearing Shahid was offered the role. I knew about Hrithik and also Vivek and rumors at the time was that both refused it because they didn't want to play side roles next to Aamir Khan. Later on however Vivek claimed it was scheduling conflict because he was doing Omkara. How Ironic considering Aamir's character was the only one with not much depth or scope and Siddharth's Karan was the best.

i remember once in the interview Kareena mentioned that she and Shahid has watched RDB many times in theater bcz they loved it so much and she Proudly mentioned that sid's role was offered to shahid first

What movies have you seen recently?

Shahid and I are movie buffs. We go to see every film as Shahid and my seats are booked at Fame Adlabs for every Friday release. I loved Khosla Ka Ghosla and Rang De Basanti. I enjoyed watching Pyaar Ke Side/Effects as it was cute and funny. I loved everything about RDB. Shahid is equally emotional about RDB. We have watched it at the theatre six times. Shahid had originally been offered Siddharth's role but couldn't do it because of date hassles. RDB is in our DVD collection of best films.

Shahid looked like a teen back then. Thank God he didn't do it. I can't imagine Aamir, Kunal, Sharman and Madhavan beings friends with a guy who looked 17.

Siddharth has kind of a boyish face as well. Had Shahid agreed to do the film I'm sure they would have put some peach fuzz or even full beard on him to make him look older.

But the film has become so iconic and such a classic that it is hard to imagine anyone else in any of the roles.
