No...no one in BW or HW would have done this as amazing as Aamir had done...

They all are good but not exceptional actors. Only ranbir comes close to aamir's acting abilities..rest are far off..so may be him. But aamir was exceptional

Everyone can, khans, roshan, ranbir, ranveer, akshay... they need an opportunity.

also, according to media of that time, both ranbir n ranveer were apparently approached if aamir was not coming on board (hope every1 knows about this)...so director had faith they could do it too... if they can do it, hrithik srk can also do it..

Actors are here for acting not jst for name sake... So if given a chance the above actors u mentioned above could have done it too!

SRK can and he could have done better than Amir(acting wise) but only Aamir can look like an alien so ge was perfect for the role

Whatever Aamir has done in PK needs a lot of dedication and time. Preparation for such a character is not easy. You need to devote your time, emotion. If the actors are only concentrating on the number and money all the time probably PK can not be made by them. For example, SRK can act but when did the last time SRK did a movie for the sake of his creativity and not for money?
Ranbir is a very good actor and comes close to Aamir when it comes to taking risk and devoting his time for preparing for a character. But he needs to reinvent himself more reach where Aamir is today in terms of acting and star power so may be after 10 more years we can see where Ranbir has reached. But as per this film PK, I cant think of anyone else in the character right now. Aamir has created pure magic on screen which will be remembered for long

I don't understand the point of these threads. The movie has already released and the actors have done their parts. Making hypothetical assumptions about which actor(s) could or could not have done PK in a way undermines and belittles the efforts of the actors who have given commendable performances in PK. Just watch the film and appreciate the cinematic brilliance.
