See Raju, Vinod, Abhijat and a few more team members from 3 Idiots. All went to the awards grabbed em and came home. Everyone knew they deserved it but they probably wouldve gotten a royal ignore had they not expressed interest in actually attending them.

Shahid shined in some scenes, he was good in some and just about average in others. Like a critic pointed out, it seemed like he was playing a character it didn't come as effortless not that it's a bad thing.

That being said, he deserves an award--popular category critics always sounds to me like a consolation prize. Also Haider was a critical and commercial hit, Vishal Bhardwaj's movies are usually not commercially hit so he should get it.

they should just give to shahid...poor guy always misses out...even during Jab we met i think SRK edged him out due to Chak de?

all 3 khans are beyond awards now..they don't need them...it makes no difference to their stature

esp the stardust and big entertainment "awards"😆😆

Good topic, Shahid performance is overrated to me in haider. Aamir is one great actor. I am sure his performance will be amazing.

Next year competition will be tough. SRK ( Raees and Fan ) and Salman ( PRDP and BB ) Ranbir ( JJ and BV ) also Ranveer ( BM )

Anyway Awards are a joke. As I have Shahid's Haider is one of the all time great performances. Aamir will have to at his absolute best to top that.

Awards and Polls are a joke. Gone are the days when the best actor was actually the best actor of that year. Now it is a game to please egos.

Aamir doesn't attend award shows, that puts him at an disadvantage, and we know the award shows don't choose him as the winner because of it.

Shahids performnace was really gud, an he attends awards shows, so he has the advantage here

Shahid was robbed for Kaminey too at Filmfare. They changed their policy and gave the critics award to Ranbir for his "consistent" performance in the 3 releases they had, even though the award is always given for one film. So he could be snubbed again, even though he deserves it.

(Not saying RK does not deserve awards in general, I just didn't think he deserved it that year.)

I disagree there, nominations might be bizzare but awards are given to right person lately!

Filmfare, Screen have been fair in rewarding right person award for last few years

Shahid will definitely win!

I am happy that Shahid got an award in both the award functions till now...but in those also he was not given the main award...both the main ones went to SRK for HNY...just too much politics...let's see what happens in the coming ones!...
