next year the competition is high for the best actor award, many actors doing performance orientated roles such as ranbir, ranveer, srk and even salman with PRDP. Varun, sid and sushant also doing different performances.

Dnt think so but if the movie wents on to be a huge hit & his role is well appreciated then there are slim chances of him winning the popular catg. award after 13 years.
But since Haider wasnt a failure at BO , Shahid might get the popular choice award too along with the critics one for which he is almost certain.
